Foster Huntington outside the Octagon, one of two treehouses he built with his buddies on property his family owns near the Columbia River Gorge in Washington state.

NYT: Foster Huntington was an up-and-comer in the New York fashion industry. Then he ditched it all and built his own personal paradise in the sky.

That's pretty cool. Kid must have made bank to indulge himself like that. Looking at the pic w/the major view toward the Gorge (power lines) he's up Salmon Falls road to the west (north of Cape Horn on SR 14).
I'd never admit in the media of any sort that my new construction is not up to code. Then there's the Gorge Commission although he might be up off the river/I-84/SR 14 view and out of sight far enough they'd leave him alone. They had to approve the ugly dark brown paint and roof shingle colors for the residence here at the ranch and that I could have the phone lines trenched in underground. But they still let industry clear cut within sight of everything. So much for a scenic area.

Two men enter, one man leaves.
