Does anyone know any laid back gay sports bars or gay friendly sports bars in the city? I've been to Boxer's a few times before and it's alright but it can have a bit of a meat market vibe sometimes. Just looking for place with a casual environment where guys who are interested in sports.

Is there even such a place?

Gym Bar. Much cheaper drinks, better vibe, older clientele, nicer bartenders.

I know most gays don't like team sports, so Im curious to know what kind of sports they play in a gay sport bar in USA.

I've heard mixed things about Gym Bar, but the bartenders probably are nicer. Boxer's bartenders aren't always that nice and sometimes slosh together drinks.

I think he meant what kind of sports do they show on TV.

Football, basketball, baseball, hockey. And sometimes weird ass shit like tennis. Same as str8 sports bars (imagine that!)

I think it depends on what time of day also, since gay bars have their own rhythms just like straight bars do.

Went to Boxer's by myself today before it got crowded, just had a beer and watched baseball on one of the TV's.... kind f felt odd since I've never been to a gay bar by myself and everyone there was with a friend or group (lots of women hanging out with their gay friends too) I think I was the only person there alone in fact. I did overhear a regular chatting with one of the really hot bartenders about me for some reason "... he's cute but his body language is too rigid" icon_redface.gificon_neutral.gif Well of course it is- I'm the only person here alone and feel awkward about that lol

IDK... I might just go to a regular sports bar or regular low key neighborhood bar to chat with people.

A friend and I spent two seconds in Boxers Hell's Kitchen on a Friday night... for those two seconds we were the only people there other than the staff.

Wow! Seriously? That's interesting, Boxer's used to be packed on Friday nights.... have heard gay bars are becoming less popular but that's surprising.

I thought he was implying water sports. I'm either spot on or I'm the only member with a dirty mind here.

I always hear about the Chelsea one, but I've never been there. So I assume it's more popular. I think the Hell's Kitchen one is new. Therapy was packed that night... so people were definitely out and about.

Thank you. I thought what I said was obvious, but apparently a couple of RJ'rs didn't get it.

LOL, regardless of what he meant it was worded stupidly.
Sports are seasonal, so it's really unnecessary to ask 'what kind of sports do they play in sports bars. It will be the same anywhere else.

You're wrong. Sport seasons weren't the reason I asked that. Read again, I said gay men are usually NOT into team sports (football, hockey, handegg, etc), so what do they watch in a gay bar if it's not team sports??? Tennis? Track?

The question was rethorical; gay men don't like team sports, so the idea of a gay sport bar sounds a bit ridiculous.

And regarding the way I worded my question let me remind you english is not my first language. I'd like to see you write in spanish. The only time you attempted to do that made a fool of yourself.

MuchMoreThanMuscle saidIf it's called a "gay sports" bar it's not selective. Just like bro4bro stated. A gay sports bar is an American concept so it will be obvious that it will American football, baseball, hockey.

Your English is subpar for someone who spends all of his free time on American gay and bareback breeding sites.

If I spent all day looking at Spanish stealth bareback breeding sites and wanted to speak Spanish all day, like you want to speak English all day with Americans, my Spanish would be a lot better than your English.

The moment you add the word "Gay" into something it IS selective. So unless you want your "sport bar" to become a gay hook up bar, show some sports your public is interested in. Otherwise all the action will happen in the restrooms.

Ah, as usual you resort to lies. You are the one with a thing for barebacking, your HIV+ status and your countless posts against condoms says it all. Don't project your sickness on me.

Your spanish sucks because you're simply not smart enough. You've said many times you've traveled to Spain and even went to school, yet your spanish is shit. I've never took 1 single lesson nor did I travel to an english speaking country and my english is way better than your spanish. If you weren't so disgusting I would offer myself to give you a lesson or 2 because you clearly need it.
