NYT: Treadmill desks can be good exercise, but they may impair the ability to concentrate and remember.

I'm not surprised that they impair performance. Everyone overestimates their ability to multitask.

I cannot pat my head at the same time as rubbing my stomach much less using a treadmill desk!

I'd love to try out a treadmill desk if only for the challenge of trying to concentrate while using it. Everything I've looked at, though, is far too expensive (I assume due to the fad/popularity factor) for my budget.

Try an indoor bicycle roller, with a custom built desk that you can use while riding with no hands. icon_lol.gif

No treadmill, but I did install a hydraulic lift system on my huge, granite-topped desk so that I can use it as a standing desk.

No... But I do watch my favorite shows while running on the treadmill. I'm kinda lazy but watching TV takes my mind off of excercising.
