Allergic to a ton of foods and can't gain weight...

    Hello, I'm having a hard time building weight. I'm allergic to a lot of things like nuts (peanuts, cashews, etc.), I just found out I'm lactose intolerant, and even shrimp and eggs sometimes give me minor and uncomfortable reactions. It's really hard to gain weight when I have to constantly be careful what I eat. (Also I'm new so hello everyone lol) Also on top of that a high metabolism...

    You'll figure out what you can eat in time. Until then, get a good protein powder and mix with water. And also a veggie drink to get nutrients. Snack on raw veggies like carrots. You might want to invest in a visit to a nutritionist.

    Those ideas sound great actually... will protein powder make me bulkier or will it help muscle gain from lifting weights? I don't lift weights, but I do a lot of cardio by running. ( sorry if I sound like a newb )

    There in US you have the Great Plains Laboratory where you can order a blood exam that tests for over 90 food allergies. It's good for clarification because you'll know exactly what you're allergic to.

    I did the exam and found that I'm allergic to all dairy except whey, no wonder whey is my best friend.

    Are you allergic to cocoa? Coconut? These are healthy high calorie foods. If it all fails you still have MCT oil.

    Eat a ton of the foods you can eat, and take bachian's advice on the blood test. I just checked it out myself out of curiosity. It seems the test is free.

    THANK YOU! I seriously need to try this... My body constantly has food issues, I've even had to have my throat dilated because of acid reflux due to food intolerance...ugh. It's super annoying...
