It's only playing to the end of the letter for me. Can you get it to play past that?

Interesting post. Goes to show you how psychiatry is in most respects not a real science ... a mere 12 years later they completely changed their minds primarily because of political pressure.

Funny, the huge percentage of men that they believed fucked around at some point in their lives. Hell, I thought it was actually 100%.

Great post, metta and thanks for making this available on Youtube.

It's fascinating to see the blend of acceptance and animosity towards homosexuality at the time.

I got up to about 13:22 so far. Meade was interesting in some of what she said correct about (how culture treats us) but also some of the odd things she said (our being as a matter of culture) and I loved the other guy's categories. That chart was hysterical, a foreshadowing of realjock? Apparently when you are 100% homosexual you turn into a fem black bottom. I think that was the very 1st RJ thread.

I'm going to give some thought as to whether I'm an occasional homosexual or an unconscious homosexual and then give that vid another look. I'd no idea I've so many choices.

I look forward to the remix.

Start listening at 16:30 for a surprisingly modern understanding of being gay.

Note right away at 1:10: "We discussed it with a great many leaders in the fields of law, medicine, and religion."

Law, medicine, theology. This "quadrivium-to-trivium" system dates to the....SIXTH century.

The three "higher faculties" of law, medicine, and theology.

In the UK today, for example, you'd begin to study medicine or law at 18 when you entered university (why not??!). Note the country which, but persistently, holds on to the three "higher" faculties being only GRADUATE studies after the "childish" tasks of the quadrivium: That's right, us.

The construct of the unelected legal-medico-psychiatric-religionist bullshit continues. "This" is why Obama can say, "Charleston happens in no other "advanced" western democracy...."

    SIXTH century system.....

I want reparations every time intro bow-tie boy said, "problem."

    Problem for whom? You?

Just exactly what is the problem?

If it's a problem, it sure as hell is not a problem for society at large.

How about it being a problem for gay guys that have to live in a society where they are treated like shit?
