Well for one, I "give a fuck" and I completely disagree with you.

For many men, and women, seeing a story like this is encouraging and really nice to see. Its also going to help alot of folks who may be hesistant to get a job like this for fear of being treated shitty.

And I also think its pretty cool, theyre a good couple thats been together for 5 years that graduated to be Boston PD at the same time. I bet that kind of thing doesn't happen too often.

Also, a lot of ignorant people out there need to see stories like this to realize that gay people aren't these fable creatures that they only hear about in the news.

I also think it's a bit funny how they say they don't want to receive the recognition for being gay cops but certainly have no problem welcoming that attention they're receiving from the media for that specific reason. Haha.

Aaaaaaaaand that is not what they nor the article said, at all.

Yea, I just really like it. This is the types of articles and news I want to see about gay men.

I DO understand though what you're saying and I see at times where the media goes insaaaane with covering a gay story. I kind've think the media fucked Michael Sam's career. He should've got a spot on a team and THEN came out. And maybe even came out by being seen holding hands with his fiance or something, instead of an ESPN interview.
