Makes sense to me. The Rad Right are Climate deniers. Refute evolution. Don't listen to HIV advocacy groups.....etc.

If it is SCIENCE Republicants refute it.

""The Republican Party has a number of leaders within it who have challenged the accuracy of scientific findings on issues such as climate change, evolution and stem cell research," Keeter told the Huffington Post.

"It suggests that scientists who are Republicans might feel some dissonance from the party's position on some things that are important to them. And while there are Republicans in the scientist sample, there are really not that many," he said."

things have changed since the Obama era. For 90's gay republicans, they still can still hide, even when they have a choice.

Hmm, the article says nothing about who they polled. Were they academics? Industry scientists? Which scientific disciplines made up the study population? How did they even find these people to survey?

I've worked as a scientist in the oil and aerospace industries, and believe me, the vast majority of my coworkers have been pretty damn conservative.

Republicans are not conservative. Rather, they are irrational reactionaries.

What a coincidence...only six percent of scientists consistently produce incorrect results after being peer-reviewed.

I would love to know what schools the 6% got their education from. It would not surprise me if a large percentage of those got it at Christian Universities. There is a Christian University in the city I live in that has a science building with huge bible quotes on the outside of the walls...like God created the World...how can a scientist take that seriously?

    This is old news.

Here's from the Pew page from the article for everyone's ready reference.

Old news or not, what I find forever interesting about this type of thing, be that ironically so, is how some things never fail to not surprise.

    Unremarkable revelation.

It's like when my mother came up to my young teenage room to tell me my parents were getting divorced and asked if I was okay with that. And my big concern was "Is that going to delay dinner?"

I just file it all away under the ever expanding category of No Duh!
