Oh Lourdy, forget gaydar entirely, mine hasn't worked for a while now anyway icon_lol.gif

Apparently, stromos have taken over our gay ghetto's and dance culture too- icon_rolleyes.gif

    http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/introducing-stromo-why-straight-male-804291

Gaydar increasingly is feeling broken in Hollywood and New York and is a dead issue in Europe. "It's a common question at parties: 'Is he gay — or European?' " laughs Details editor-in-chief Dan Peres, describing both civilian and celebrity stromos. "His suit is more tapered, he owns a yoga mat. Adam Levine has made it safe for straight guys to wear deep V-necks. Now gay and straight men shop at the same stores, go to the same hairdressers and tailors. Straight men want the same things as gay men — except the gender of their sexual partners."

Simpson sums up the reason for the rise of stromos: "Men increasingly want to present themselves as available for fantasy to both sexes — especially if they're heterosexual." Echoing a June 18 comment by actor-of-the-moment Chris Pratt (who wants to "not objectify women less but objectify men just as often"), Simpson adds: "Women no longer own that province of objectification. Straight men now want to be sex objects — and what better way to get objectified than by other penised human beings?"

I remember this extremely hot, Midwestern, late 20's, engineer, "straight" guy at work, (OK he looks like Maksim Chmerkovskiy), who wouldn't wear anything but dam polo shirts and appeared to shop at JC Penny (not that there is anything wrong with that icon_lol.gif ), he obviously took care of his teeth though, with that huge bright white smile, caught him one day in one of the bathroom mirrors, flossing. He is from the Midwest and if I didn't see him before, I would think he was a tourist visiting Hollywood for the first time. icon_lol.gif

I think he was always curious about me but did the "avoid eye contact thing" a lot of the times we would pass each other in the hallways. You can tell when someone is checking you out one time, then ignoring you the next, this guy was pretty obvious when he did it. I had such a crush on him

Being a out homo, I was one of the first people at my previous workplace to wear V neck T-shirts (not deep V) with my classic Diesel jeans. (I found these T's at American Apparel or Urban Outfitters). In my last year's employment, (2011), I saw this guy start to wear V neck T-shirts!, I was like, OMG, he's copying me and he's never said a dam word to me any time we saw each other. He used me for my taste in clothes, he is now the same age as Max, 35 I think icon_lol.gif

Who could hate a man, who wants to copy you and looks like this: icon_razz.gif

Wasn't the term "metrosexual" coined in the 1990s for this concept?

When you said stromo, I thought you were talking about a stoma. Two ENTIRELY different things. I'll just stick to the term "metrosexual," for now.

I think stromo sounds like some kind of Italian sandwich.

More than likely what is really going on is that straight guys are simply catching up to gay fashion trends.

We need another piece of jargon/slang like we need another STD.

Don't forget to replace the muffler bearings and replace the stale air in the tires with new air.

And while you're at it, make sure to lube the radio bracket.
