Before you completely have a nervous breakdown.

I've already had one of those, so I know exactly where you're coming from.

    Rejection in what sense?

My breakdown was during a time of unemployment, being turned down for job after job. After a while it really does get unbearable.

I don't know what his experience is, but in my experience any type of repeated rejection can build up over time.

Yeah, I know what that feels like for sure. Unemployment is debilitating, I'm surprised (and glad) there haven't been more suicides in this economy.

Well I would say it gets better but it probably won't seeing you're 18 y/o so... you're going to have to learn to deal with rejection like the rest of us.

    Take it slow.

If that feeling is building up, it's your time to leave the love scene for a while.

I've been REALLY close to suicide over extended unemployment. If it weren't for my then-unemployed friends who supported me along the way, I probably would have.

Fortunately my re-gaining of employment motivated them to also find jobs (they used to be the urban equivalent of trailer trash), and are all in the process of gaining higher education.

And in the famous words I told them: "It doesn't 'get better' unless you make it better." icon_wink.gif

Rejection is so part of life. The best gift you can give yourself is learning how to deal with it and bounce back stronger

This is good advice. Plus, get over yourself. Everyone gets knocked down in some form or another, the strong and survivors bounce back up and look forward.
