Before you get to complacent look at the end of the article- they're basing their conclusions off of roughly 200 people in each state!! That's an awfully weak peg to hang your hat on. Plus, it is socially unacceptable to be antigay. So respondents may very well say one thing to the pollster and vote another in the privacy of the voting booth. And the Republican voters who are against gay rights will be much more vociferous in their views. They will treat taking away marriage equality as a litmus test. Those who are ready to move on will roll their eyes and not really give a damn.

The title of this Time Magazine is very misleading, if you look at the actual data from the poll they're citing.
Large majorities of Republicans OPPOSE marriage equality and civil rights in general for gay Americans.
This poll reinforces that finding -- it doesn't challenge it.
I guess the "news flash" is that slightly less opposition was found among the GOP than was expected. But that's hardly a victory.
