Gay rights don't exist in Russia.. and since the anti-gay laws it's been a nightmare for gays living there.. people have posted videos where they've attacked gays, sodomised them with bottles (using a baseball bat to make sure the bottle goes "all the way in"), etc.. people get away with it because the government doesn't care and views gays as an aberration not worthy of being protected. It's sad..

Are you sure you're not referring to the potential events that would happen if the USA elected a Republican candidate? Cause that's exactly the environment they seem to promote. icon_wink.gif

For the most part you're right; but all it takes is the wrong candidate with the right amount of power/money to change things for the worst. We narrowly dodged a bullet with Romney (who would've criminalized homosexuality again). The entire 2016 Republican candidacy wants to follow his lead. They've made that clear; and most have the money/power to at least take us (us=teh gheyz) a few steps back...regardless of how many steps we've taken forward with our current POTUS.

If the US wants to continue moving to the left, it should elect candidates that have left-leaning values. Otherwise we'll end up with another assassinated POTUS, which if you do your research, never ends well.

Romney opposed gay marriage. He did not want to bring back the sodomy laws which are totally unenforceable and unconstitutional. He did favor a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. But he did not want to "criminalize homosexuality", who told you that nonsense.icon_question.gif

None of our right wing politicians can light a candle to the fascistic Russian President Vladimir Putin. That man is a sick lunatic.
