article They're jeers for a clown.

Donald Trump's hard stance on Mexican immigration apparently doesn't extend to his real estate empire.

Trump's latest construction project in the heart of Washington D.C. is being built by laborers -- some of whom admitted to crossing the U.S. border illegally, according to a report.

And those same workers had nothing but blue-collar contempt for Trump after he said Mexican immigrants were "bringing drugs, they're bringing crime. They're rapists."

"Do you think that when we're hanging out there from the eighth floor that we're raping or selling drugs?" Ramon Alvarez, 48, an El Salvadoran window worker told The Washington Post.

And before anyone uses the excuse "but, he didn't know", save it. There is no way any HR department makes oversights like this. He's simply a hypocrite.

Preach it from the roof tops "illegal" workers. Trump is a pandering, hypocritical, jerk. True, all politicians are, but there's a question of degree. Trump has passed that. If someone can't tell the difference, then they're tone-deaf and should stay on the sidelines...lest they light the candles on a birthday cake for a kid in the burn-ward.

Get with it people. Class, decorum and "pc" speech is actually something well-fought for and a virtue. Not something to be disdained. Please memo this to the GOP writ large.

Trump should be vigorously prosecuted for any violation of US laws, just as any other corporation or individual who violates them should be. C'mon, Loretta; look to it!

NYC would be shut down if they actually prosecuted business owners that employed undocumented workers. I worked at cafe in Manhattan in my early 20s, and I was the token US citizen. No joke.

That's a familiar argument from the pro-amnesty/open borders crowd, who naturally overextend it to the entire USA. Fact is, it's false. Those jobs would be filled by - dare I say it? - actual American citizens and legal aliens! And many of those scofflaw employers would be driven out of business, opening business opportunities to law abiding citizens. A win-win all around, if only it were done. icon_sad.gif

I'm not really making an argument. It was just something I noticed while NYC. Btw, the owner said that citizens weren't applying for jobs, and at the time I just took him at his word. As far as I know, I wasn't paid any more than other workers. I was the only one who had taxes deducted from my pay though. But I was 21 and just happy that I was in NYC. sigh.
