So after a good workout yesterday, I get home and am ready to empty out my gym bag and saw that I left my towel at the gym. Nothing like that D'Oh moment. I had thrown it on the floor to stand on as I was getting dressed cause the tiled floor was cold.

Now my gym provides towels for free, but their the size of a dish towel and are as good as sand paper. Like the ones they provided to you in High School. Unless your skinny like a stick, you cant REALLY tie one of those around your waist.

I've also left my lock on the locker by accident too once. Just shut my locker and locked it and left without thinking.

I've talked to one of the staff that checks the lockers now and then and says he's found all kinds of stuff. I'd say strangest are the guys who forget their underwear...I mean you really gotta be in a rush to forget those.

So has anyone else ever left something at the gym accidentally ?

At my gym as you enter the locker room, they have a coat rack where guys hang their suits. On top of the rack is a shelf where "lost and found" stuff gets thrown and sits for about a week before they trash it. Right now, the outstanding item is a pair of dress shoes...look like something a military guy would wear with his dress uniform. I am presuming that some military guy left them after changing and hasnt been back to find them. Poor guy, I suppose those shoes are expensive. They have been sitting up there for a while. I suspect the gym isnt trashing them because they are expensive and they want to give the owner plenty of time to get back and find them.

I am the reverse, I leave stuff at home when going to the gym. I can't tell you how many times I have gotten out of the shower and gone "O lord, I forgot underwear again" Or right before getting in the shower, "I have no towel." which always leads my workout buddy to ask, "Are you going to be that guy?"

I had to be that guy that day.

While I haven't left anything at the gym, I have seen underwear left quite often--daily.

The alternative: getting your underwear returned to you because you are the diligent fellow who writes his name in the band...definitely not cool. Sometimes a loss is a loss.

My keys and sunglasses most often. Way in the back of the top shelf of a full-length locker, and being a short little runt, I don't see them. icon_razz.gif
