Basically, he is saying that they found the best way to deal with an addict is to say "I want to deepen my connection with you. I love you, whether you are using or not. I love you, whatever state you are in. And if you need me, I will come and sit with you. Because I love you and I don't want you to be alone or feel alone. "

The best way to deal with an addict is to provide more of the substance or behavior the addict is addicted to. icon_wink.gif

I'm curious to hear from people with addictions or know people with addictions think of this.

This is so true. A happy addict is always preferred to a sober addict.

Yes, make him/her a happy addict - that way they can remain addicts. Wonderful phylosophy, please don't let your next business venture be to open a Rehab Centre. It will probably be the best Rehab Centre as all the addicts will flock there for the best happiest time of their lives, that being more and more drugs.

You crazy people are funny. It's as if you believe that your sobriety makes you some how stronger or better. I don't do drugs, but most of the people I know who are into AA cults are boring and lack all passion.
