Does your ride match your personality?

I figured I would post something kind of fun that doesnt involve rating the guy above you, next to you, below you or inside of you.

I find that people's cars can sometimes give you some insight into their character and sometimes not so much! (Clearly, if you don't drive, you still have character and personality. So be a happy sport and post a pic of a car you like!)

You be the judge... Here is my ride.

Post yours and let's see what you've got! If you don't drive at all, post a picture of your shoes, bike, scooter, city bus... whatever you use to get around!

I'm not really a car person but my car reflects my values ....Toyota Prius...
I lease my car....it forces me to get a new car every 3 years.

Um... it's old and has a lot of miles on it, but it still gets the job done.

No... No, not at all. Why do you ask?

Thanks! Its my second Avalanche - I love these things! So many uses - like pulling my boat, carrying the troops to paintball and hauling the kids... oh wait, I don't have kids!

oh man, Rezdylan, that orange vet -- HOT!!

here's my ride (GXP Solstice) and, yes, otherwise known as the son of the vet, it's a good approximation of me in car form...

(and yes, me's got 18" aluminum rims)

This was my first classic car... I got hooked. 1963 Cadillac Convertible.

No jokes about the fact that I am 21 in the pic!

Of course, the new Avalanche is car #21 for me since I was 16. I have always been addicted to cars...

Your pictures and profile say otherwise! I beg to differ.

I have no car, therefore no character.

I rent if I need to do any driving. It's too easy to take Public Transit in SF. I can do without the road rage and expenses of ownership right now

I have a pic but don't know how to post on RJ.....I drive a 1983 Porsche 944. I'm the second owner. It's all original and every now and then I enter it in local Porsche club concours events. I dig it because you don't see very many on the road, it's a great drive and I'm a car nut (I've owned almost 20 cars) and yeah, I like Porsche's for a variety of reasons. On 944's I actually have to move the drivers seat up a notch or two.....and me being 6' 5"...that happens once in a blue moon. Yeah...the core values of a Porsche definitely match my personality!

I don't know if it matches my personality. But it's freakin fun to drive.

Current stable probably approximates my personality (and my age):

1986 Honda CRX Si (wish they were still made - 43 mpg highway)
1973 Baja Bug
1979 Chevy LUV 4x4
1979 Ford Bronco
1941 International M5-H6 (6x6)

i take the bus...

... so, personality wise, i guess that is:

- loud, (at times), quiet at others (night bus)
- has a large presence
- a little hectic, a little crazy
- stubborn - my way or the highway
- diverse, full of a variety of emotions (people)
- gentle, yet, don't get in my way
- sometimes i can blend into the background (bus depot), or stand out (among small cars)
- can be boisterous and fun
- or frustrating, irritable and depressing
- messy
- welcoming of all people (i even have a ramp!)
- sometimes its bloody hard to get around corners
- if all else fails, ill drive through a wall and make my own path

so yes!
I am like a bus!
- personality wise... i dont take up a lot of space... horizontally (i am tall, though)

Oh, and im not smelly, just so you know

If you decide to buy a solstice, buy it for looks only. They are by far a reliable car. For a moment of insanity I looked into trading my Audi TT for one. Living in Canada, and seeing how it snows 6 months of the year, this would be one of the worst mistakes ever. I have driven my Audi for the last 4yrs, year round (this is the first year I put snow tires on it) and I have never had any problems with it. The solstice is a great looking car, but it stops there...
