    Hi guys ! 1st topic ever.

    So... we, french people, are famous for our ability to grumble for almost anything, but I kinda feel like it's not that specific to us around here, am I right ? icon_rolleyes.gif

    Anyway, let's cut to the chase ! The original 4 Horseman of the apocalypse (according to wikipedia though, many differents terms are used x) are...
    - War
    - Famine
    - Death
    - Conquest

    Mine would be...

    - Ignorance*
    - Musics on hold on the phone (and any similar stalling devices)
    - The maze that represents most of administrative procedures
    - The non-sens of how wealth is granted**

    *in a world like ours, with such easy access to informations and learnings, we should all strive to make our own opinion on things, instead of sticking to stereotypes and narrow minded 'general thoughts'.
    **for example : famous artists / athletes traded for billions by huge greedy companies VS farmer people, who actually produce essential things, just striving to make a living, not to mention "Third World"

    So... what would be yours ?

    The fact that fried potatoes are so delicious is part of the reason they're so evil. ;)

    If I had to translate my list each is admittedly exaggerated but:

    Twitter == stupidity
    Facebook == complacency
    Apple == materialism
    French Fries == self-neglect

    not that I'm self-righteous or anything... icon_biggrin.gif

    The fourth died after hanging out with the other aforementioned three.

    I guess the fourth would be Death.

    I think it is far more pleasure to comment on your four horses. They are pretty good after all.

    The four horses:

    Take ignorance for instance. It is a thing of context. The general context on RJ is that "if you don't agree with me" you are ignorant. It is more likely that opposing views have completely different experiences in life or perhaps different desires with different rankings of importance.

    Hum. 'Muzac' while on hold. Better to let the secretary do that.

    Ah, 'administrivia'. The attorney's job.

    The nonsense of how wealth is granted? That most likely represents the person who has wealth one day and two years later is broke and possibly in bankruptcy court. Such individuals lack the capacity to "manage." It came to pass from the RJ Entrepreneurs challenge and he has succeeded -- in relative terms.

    My Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse would be as follows:

    1. Not being open enough to trying to understand another person.

    i.e; religion, sexual orientation, transitioning, race, physical or mental capabilities and abnormalities and all other differences.

    2. Hate for others and oneself.

    Why do people find it so easy to hate on someone or something they do not understand? Why can't we just love people for who they are and/or consider themselves to be? (Again, see #1)

    3. Using religion as a weapon.

    Jesus said that we must love our neighbors as ourselves. This truth encompasses everyone around us not just fellow Christians. Christianity is meant to be a peaceful, understanding religious practice. God is love. So love.

    4. Superficial, egotistical people.

    Why do people only want perfection when it comes to themselves or in looking for someone with whom to spend the rest of their earthly lives?

    I do appreciate a lean body, as you are physically taking care of yourself, but are you taking care of yourself mentally? Forcing yourself out of your comfort zone, trying new things, reading and processing new things- something you would have never thought of doing at all? Be just as dedicated to your brain, as you are to your body. As they say: Don't skip leg day.

    1 - Wrath

    Everything in this world is worthy of destruction because of the finite nature of matter.

    2 - Envy

    All-consuming and self-destructive leading to baneful machinations of the mind against another.

    3 - Pride

    Another consuming trait that can be in the guise of a Pharisee or even the world's most ostentatious human being.

    4 - Murder

    Everything dies.

    Large coffee with 10 cream and 10 sugar.

    I order that every single day, and it's almost the only thing I order from Mickey Death.

    It's only a buck ten and tastes WAY better than Starbucks...not to mention it's a drive-thru and they mix it for me. icon_biggrin.gif
