Well, I ca't see anything , so I assume that some troll started this topic. And I certainly don't support the stupid clown. But the fact is that McCain killed more Americans than than he did Vietnamese when he almost sunk the Forrestal in 1967.

And he came out as a complete crazy troll in his presidential campaign. He needs to be retroactively retired to his shady porch in Arizona where he can't hurt anybody more than shaking a cane at them.

So basicly Donald Trump was a spoiled brat growing up. . . and still is today. I think it's time people like him see just how cruel life can be, can't always be handed on a silver platter.

I know I'm Canadian and it doesn't concern me, but the media's everywhere. Out of all world leaders who have visited here, trump is bad as putin and that korean dictator, should be on a "no fly list" or something like that.

Actually it was a Zuni rocket that was triggered by an electrical surge in the fire control mechanism from an F-4 Phantom. John McCain flew an A-4 Skyhawk. So no, John McCain did not cause the fire aboard the USS Forrestal. But I guess deriding a war hero due to differences in political opinion is much more appealing than actually doing some fact checking.

    Nothing new around here.

"On July 29, 1967, McCain, by then a lieutenant commander, was near the epicenter of the USS Forrestal fire. He escaped from his burning jet and was trying to help another pilot escape when a bomb exploded;[28] McCain was struck in the legs and chest by fragments.[29] The ensuing fire killed 134 sailors and took 24 hours to control.[30][31] With the Forrestal out of commission, McCain volunteered for assignment with the USS Oriskany, another aircraft carrier employed in Operation Rolling Thunder.[32] Once there, he would be awarded the Navy Commendation Medal and the Bronze Star for missions flown over North Vietnam.[33]

When Obama presumably had an elementary school draft deferment. icon_rolleyes.gif

This is about comparing adult men of draft age during the Vietnam War.

But without the "socialism radicalism" you claim for him (was that taught in the class period just before recess?) he might not have become the most pro-gay President in US history. And we wouldn't be enjoying (well, I don't know if you're enjoying) greater gay rights advances than any of us have ever seen in the US.

why is this snake piece of shit McCain a "war hero"?

    because he got shot down?

because he left his first wife who raised his 3 kids while he was a POW - then left her after she was in a car accident for the rich beer heiress?

McCain is a snake who will screw anyone for his own personal and political aggrandizement - period

Trump is just a clown that part of the Republican circus. As Donald Trump keeps talking, the democrats are at home eating popcorn and watching all this go down. The truth is, the things that Trump is saying is nothing new in the Republican party. That's the scary part when there are people showing up at his rallies and supporting him on social media. There are many(not all) republicans that support what he has to say. Which is why he's leading the polls(for now) but he's still beating Jed Bush. I don't know why he's mocking his own political party(its tarnishing the Republican image) and the truth of the matter is there has always been people who have the same beliefs as him, but the media is covering it all the time now because he's Donald Trump.

I'm seeing a change in politics in the United States. Young people don't vote republican(some do in rural areas), Latinos don't, blacks don't, and usually people in urban areas don't either. The Republican party image is being destroyed and at this point and I don't think people are interested in what Republicans have to say(at least young people and minorities don't) and other political figures such as Bernie Sanders are gaining momentum who are on the social democrat spectrum and might actually have a chance to win(watch out Hilary, and girl, you better get your policies together). But hey, hasn't the Republican always been a joke to those with common sense?

Go to your college in demand your money back. They obviously have not taught you to think beyond simple broad brush strokes and simple clichés. I know lots of guys in your age group who do have common sense and would consider you totally naïve.

-I'm sure you do. I bet they all live in conservative Huntington Beach/Laguna Beach, with there rich conservative daddies. Sorry to break to you, but they do not represent the rest of the young population of this country. The coastal cities of Orange County are not even a true representation of the political atmosphere of California. Again, you are exactly the type the Republican party appeals to- white and older, so I'm not surprised you are questioning my education. Bye Felicia.

You assume incorrectly, but don't let anything disrupt your assumptions. By the way, I'm not in Orange County and anyone who is really in SoCal would know that, which raises some questions.

Many of the people in their 20s that I know are involved in youth sports, including working with inner city kids. In most cases their families are hardly wealthy, middle class, working class, and in one case from an inner city in the mid-west.

It seems like the liberal education system has done its job on you. Again, here is a link for your perusal, but I'm sure you'll deny its accuracy or relevance. Deny all you want, but your simplified statements above show the truth.

The following articles are written mostly by liberals, and they echo the same theme. Specifically, liberal students are not taught to think for themselves and mostly mimic groupspeak and groupthink. This is the same behavior we see on this site.

Wow, so much hate for McCain among Republicans... according to this this thread, he killed many Americans, is totally crazy and has no morals.
But just a few years ago, Republicans told us he was the ideal candidate to be President.
What happened, Republicans? Did you believe that at the time, and if so, how were you so wrong?
And why should we believe that you have any faith in your next nominee for President, since you were so wrong about McCain, by your own admission?

Republicans told us we were all supposed to vote for McCain, and his joke of a running mate, Sarah Palin. Now they mock McCain here. I wonder how long before Trump shares the same fate as him?

Liberals, this is probably a difficult concept for you to grasp, but there has been consistency. The Republicans are not a monolithic group. The social conservatives were never fond of McCain, and still are not.
