Why are there more straight men if being gay isn't some mental illness and is natural?

Why are there more right-handed people than left, if being left-handed isn't some mental illness?

For the same reason there are more right-handed people, and more stupid people, and more unintelligent people, and more Asians.

Do some research into recessive traits vs dominant traits. Then you'll find out why there are more straight people. I's a dominant trait.

I will. I've always felt like some type
    of mutant for being gay.

My guess is that the population's sexuality can be represented by a normal curve with standard deviation; that is to say that 10% of people are completely gay, 10% are completely straight, and everyone else falls somewhere in between with most people being in the middle.

But IMO societal normas and pressure make a lot of people in the middle tend to express themselves as straight; it's easier.

Well, Man without Profile, we know nothing about you (or even if you are real). You could be a troll, which is some form of mutant, in which case please stay in your straightjacket.

The rest of us gays are just the product of recessive genes having been expressed. Now if some genius could just go to work and come up with a virus that would destroy some of the straight gene complex, we would be a larger part of the population, and more of the hot film/sports/rock stars would be gay.

arn't we just jumping out of the closet here:
Since the mid 1970s, a consensus was reached that that homosexuality is a healthy variation

today the average joe thinks ~25% are gay
we are not the 10% Kinsey told us we were

polling process is not functional to measure tiny small populations but the CDC says it it 1.8%

the un natural thing about all of this is why does the other 75 - 972% even care who we marry.

The Size of the LGBT Population and the Magnitude of Anti-Gay Sentiment are Substantially Underestimated

...Participants were randomly assigned to either a "best practices method" that was computer-based and provides privacy and anonymity, or to a "veiled elicitation method" that further conceals individual responses. Answers in the veiled method preclude inference about any particular individual, but can be used to accurately estimate statistics about the population. Comparing the two methods shows sexuality-related questions receive biased responses even under current best practices, and, for many questions, the bias is substantial. The veiled method increased self-reports of non-heterosexual identity by 65% (p<0.05) and same-sex sexual experiences by 59% (p<0.01)...
