roadbikeRob saidI would love to see that belligerent, corrupt, fascist Sheriff Joe Arpaio in Arizona being forced to wear one of these bodycams.
Why do you hate on our Joe out here?
He's been elected more times than I can count.
He has also helped stop/reduce crime all over Maricopa County!
I was stopped by the Sheriff when I was out by the river. It was random and I was polite and they said have a nice day........
He's a hard ass and harder on crime and criminals!!
Because he violates constitutional rights and he has those boot camps which have no legitimate right to exist in a democratic republic like the US. His extremely hard ass approach on crime is just like the war on drugs, an abject, costly failure because Maricopa County still has serious problems and it is not confined to both Phoenix and Tempe. Arpaio has to go and the people of Maricopa County need to be given one choice, vote in a new Sheriff who follows the rule of law or your Sheriff ends up being appointed by the courts. As far as I am concerned, Maricopa County is a intolerant scumbag place that wants to remain lilly white. I hope that the Mexican nationals become the overwhelming majority of Maricopa County's total population and the tough on crime white vote is severely weakened and defeated.
If you don't want problems and other types of people along with crime and pollution than Phoenix, Tempe, Scottsdale and all the rest of Maricopa County need to STOP GROWING and stop attracting business and stop expanding your economy and stop luring more new residents. Arizona seriously lacks the required natural resources to sustain major metropolitan areas (Phoenix and Tucson) and it needs to revert back to its former rural desert fronteir character. It's economy needs to be made wholly dependent on ranching, mining, and eco tourism. Phoenix, Tempe, and Tucson need to decline back to smallish to mid sized cities of no more than 150,000 central city population apiece. There is no legitimate need for them to be big, major cities. They are totally unsustainable.
