Umm, or maybe last year you weren't contemporary enough and this year they want you back, the end. The show does this every year. They DO contact people that previously auditioned. They have been doing this for at least 10 seasons. It's nothing new and you shouldn't feel special. I'm also calling bull shit on what the producers supposedly put on paper (everything you are reading). No one is that stupid to put that down on a document with their name on it.

American Idol is the most idiotic, stupid television show ever produced. I cannot believe that many Americans find no quality garbage like this to be entertaining. I guess many Americans have a brain the size of a pea.

I agree that he would have been used as a gimmick who wasn't going to win anyway. Regardless, getting in front of that many millions of viewers is not a bad thing for any singer regardless of their gender..ESPECIALLY if they have true singing talent. Many singers over the years used "American Idol" as a stepping stone. This kid is too young to know that in the music business you take the opportunities when they come at you and make the most of them.

This kid is also smart enough to know that publicly turning down the biggest talent show on the planet will get him way more attention than if he accepted the offer and became "just another AI exploit."
