Well for once The Donald is doing something useful for the United States. If he keeps up his campaign he gonna hand the White House, and maybe Congress, to the Democrats. Go Donald! icon_biggrin.gif

"Forty-seven percent of Republican registered voters said that they believe the real estate magnate and 2016 GOP frontrunner is harming the image of the party, versus 35 percent who say he is helping the brand."

That is quite an achievement, given how low they generally set the bar. Perhaps the realization is slowly sinking in that, if they keep Trump, he'll wreck the GOP and, if they fire Trump, he'll wreck the GOP.

What's come close to ruining it for me are low-level, drive-by shootings such as this comment.

I say it hurts our brand. I'm not a trump fan.

After one wins, one has to govern. I think he might be able to win, but govern effectively, hell no.

Any of the governors can. Senators? No. I don't think they have the right kind of experience.

Trump's assault on the GOP's credibility is better than anything the Dems could have imagined. He's turning the GOP brand into toxic waste.
What a sad state of affairs for the GOP that this vulgar buffoon is seen as a hero to dim-witted Republicans -- while horrifying decent Americans.

And now they are having to handle the clown with kid gloves, in case he goes off in a huff and decides to screw them completely by running as an independent.

In a Bobx3 voice: *arbitrary rant about Art_Deco*.

I've found Donald Trump amusing in the way I found Sarah Palin and Joe Biden amusing.

Yep. The Republicans engineered & encouraged the breakdown of civil political discourse in the US, and demagogues like Trump are the result. Now if someone like a Trump backfires on them, I think another old phrase is "hoisted with their own petard".

Thank you for offering that predictable one dimensional prediction of the situation.

Here's a graph that illustrates the broad base of Trump's support.

There's an issue of the 47% of GOP believing Trump is harming the party that wouldn't have occurred to you from your simplistic egocentric fish tank lifestyle... like.....

How many of that 47% actually believe harming the GOP is a bad thing?

Washington Post ABC Poll57 percent of Republicans now have a favorable view of Trump, compared to 40 percent who have an unfavorable one. That marks a complete reversal from a late-May Post-ABC poll, in which 65 percent of Republicans saw Trump unfavorably.

For that to be true at least 10% of the the 47% believe harming the GOP is not a bad thing. It's too early to pull off your size 40 panties and run them up the flagpole while you drink champagne out of your bed slippers.

The poll you cite was of 252 Republican primary voters over a FOUR DAY PERIOD (63 calls a day) +/- 6.17 percent margin of error.

And then the one SouthBeach cited was done over 4 days with a 400% larger group and an almost 50% smaller margin of error.
This Washington Post-ABC News poll was conducted by telephone July 8-12, 2015, among 1,011 adults, including landline and cell phone-only respondents. Results have a 3.5 point error margin. Sampling, data collection and tabulation by SSRS of Media, Pa.

And in the meantime Hillary is down below Bernie by over 10 points and headed down in what does appear an irreversible trend see that she has some serious trouble with

    Two Inspector Generals,
    The FBI,
A black Democratic federal judge who has put her penalty of perjury for not complying
    Two Congressional committees
And a media that can no longer ignore her congenital lying.

Sanders' increased favorability reflects the broader increase in the public's familiarity with him since March.

Imagine the damage Chillery would not only do to the White House, if they let her back in, but to America, and the rest of the world. She can not be trusted.

He seems to be suffering from a persistent delusion that he gives "detailed criticisms and rebuttals of posts." All he ever does is sit on his pimpled ass and try to start crap he knows nothing about.

I don't go apeshit mad about anything. That's just a good example of your limited perception.
