I see most of you guys have shorter hair but I have always liked longer hair - shoulder length and a bit longer. I'm almost to the point of shoulder length now. I stopped in to my barber today and we talked about it. There needs to be some styling and extra care now. Getting out of the house will take a lot longer now. I don't think he really feels comfortable handling longer hair which is a shame because I really like him.

But where do I go? And how often? Anybody deal with long hair? Thanks. icon_cool.gif

Is there a woman in your life whose long hair you admire? Ask her where she goes. Since Western women are culturally more likely than men to have long hair, and therefore have more experience taking care of it, asking a woman who has nice hair what she does will likely be more helpful than asking a forum full of gay men that have predominantly short hair. From the women that I know, though, the best things you can do are not wash it too often, get your split ends removed every so often, and stay hydrated.

There was a thread before about RJ's opinion on guys with long hair, and majority of RJers are turned off by long hair. Me included. icon_confused.gif

Mines is getting pretty long ... I just put it in a pony tail or bun or where a handkerchief around my head ... your a guy, you don't need to style it .. that's the whole point of guys wearing long hair

What effect are you trying for? Around my way guys with long hair are mostly bikers or metalheads.

Long hair is high maintenance. If you wanna be clean & fresh.

And in my personal philosophy a man is never obsessed nor overly consumed with his grooming, which should remain simple & minimalist.

He attends to it, never neglects it, keeps himself presentable, but never spends a great deal of time at it. Very long and high-maintenance hair is a time-consuming burden, and to my mind, a sign of either neglect or egotism. Sort of like a Donald Trump personality.

I've been growing my hair out again, for a little over a year and a half now... Going for a mid-chest, mid-shoulder blade length. It's taking a little longer because I used to have more of a "Hitler youth"/"SS officer" very short haircut. Had almost belt length long hair in the 90s, more of a reactionary growth after my 10 years in the U.S. Navy... so far, comments have been favorable, since long hair seems to be making a comeback… Recently had a high school reunion, and had it pulled back in a ponytail, which my old classmates thought was really cool…

I had long hair at one time, but I think I've outgrown it. I think for most guys long hair starts looking disreputable after the age of thirty, especially if their hairlines start to edge back at their temples, but there are always exceptions.

No shade. I once had a perm. icon_rolleyes.gif
But having said that, long hair is like a used tampon to me. To female to be hot.

It's blue eye shadow. It's all the same.

I think you should trade in the fishtail for some legs first, and then we'll talk about the hair.

Interesting comments and I can understand all of them although some are a little off the wall. Long or short hair, it has to fit to the person. Some of the pictures posted in this forum are excellent examples. I agree that old men with receding hairlines and bald spots don't make the best candidates. But if it works for you, then it's good.

I really appreciate the advice given. Keep it up. (the advice as well) icon_razz.gif

    Sure, laugh.
This guy wants a crustation to thunderfuck him.
    That's sick.
At least my fantasy is half human. Okay, it's a moving drawing of a half human who gets upstaged by a blue fish ....and a singing shell but still. You know what I mean.

People on this site are disturbed.

Also, that hyena that has Whoopi Goldbergs voice? Hubba-Hubba!

No, I just want him to be my chaperone when I rise out of the sea. I don't really want a daddy. I'm in it for the prince.
