You had me going up until you mentioned the fat ass neurotic lying bag of cat cunts -- and ended it with Amy -- whose death I'm not over when I hear her music.

Overall you get a ten for being funny though.

Not you posting Winehouse.... ironically or not, it makes me cry. She died so tragically and unfairly. At 27! she was a kid. I know, because I am 27. Fuck, this sucks!

I came straight from the link about B52s' Kate Pierson getting married to this one. It put me in a bum mood thinking about Rick Wilson's death.

This is going to sound bizarre but I sometimes think I'm a jinx for musicians. Once I start mentioning I'm liking them they die....and leave me with nothing but mediocre wannabees to listen to... except for Prince who achieved immortality with his Controversy album and a few others I dare not mention for fear of jinxing them.

And.. in reference to me, the word 'verbiage' is inappropriate... Please use it in it's queer corrupted form of 'verbage' pronounced like 'barrage.'

    EDIT:

I figured out why I went in a funk on this thread.

Last October I had the chance of a life time to meet a musical genius and have drinks with him after he performed. And he's cuter than Jesus in a g-string. One of his songs ripped my heart out and we started talking about... and he said when he sings it he imagines Amy Winehouse doing it. I lost it. I mean I go to funerals and don't cry but I lost it like wimpy school boy.

    Just don't say his name

There're many memories with music. Sounds that tie us with the past. Moments in time when we stood in a different place. A lot has changed from the years gone by. I am not lost, just bewildered sometimes. Now, what will tie us to the future?

    NICE BOB!!!

You know what's really strange? I was out hiking a few nights ago and I had all this music run through my head. Almost like an opera, and I even came up with a play for it......

I understand that. LOL! I have 26 songs I've put together that are pretty much a musical autobiography for the grand kids and friends to listen to after I croak... but they don't know that yet... LOL! All I have to do is stick the disk in the player and they all roll their eyes and sigh... "not that disk again pap's." It's really an upbeat and funny disk. One day they'll be listening to it and figure it out and have a holy shit minute. I mean I've been driving a 1965 Oldsmobile f85 convertible since 1966.... how can they not add 2 + 2 when they hear this intro song? LOL!

FUGGGGGGGGGG! you are on the same page as I am! I was just listening to the Moulin Rouge soundtrack. I think the versions of The Show Must go on and Roxanne from that movie are two of the greatest arrangements of all time.

It goes without saying that Freddie Mercury is one of the victims of jinx.

Here's Pior Rafalko and the Al Tango Orchestra conducted by Krzysztof Urbanski performing Tango de Roxanne.

Check out all the ugly guys in the orchestra..... Jeeeeeeeez. Krzysztof will about make your eyes bleed and tongue erect.

I'm sorry, I gotta yell NO to comparing the death of Freddy Mercury to that maybe-talented drug addict Whinehouse!

    {Note, I didn't read all of the postings, but simply having the nerve to lump Queen in with the likes of her is galling!}

    Freddy died from a disease.

    Amy did from self-indulgence.

No comparison, just as there is no comparison in the music either made!

It's nice when you are more famous dead than you were alive.
