That's a Roman Catholic collar... But beyond that, it's great news, but the Episcopal Church was twenty years ahead of the sort of evangelical group I assume is meant. Others as well, but the Episcopal Church has always prided itself in being a place where you do not need to leave your brain at the door, where many evangelicals seem to want to tell you what you have to think.

It was probably a stock photo. The person was anonymous. Catholics are not Evangelicals.

But I agree, Episcopalians are way ahead of Catholics....and MILES ahead of Evangelicals!

Well, there is one thing that unites all sects of Christianity. They are all full of shit.

So first he was motivated by his faith to marginalize and condemn a group of people that causes no harm. Now that he's had an epiphany, he'll say it was all a human misinterpretation of a divine text and that Christianity should be credited with his new understanding.

I wish I lived 100 years from now. Hopefully by then almost no one will take Christianity seriously. And Judaism will be dead as well.

Unfortunately, Islam will be around for some time to come. It's all but certain the Iranians (armed with nukes) will be stoning gays to death 100 years in the future.

But who knows. Maybe they'll have an epiphany before then.

3000 years and counting... 100 years is an instant in time.. methinks a fantasy.

Computing power doubles every 18 months (Moore's Law). This is not just because of advancing technology, but because humans are advancing the technology due to increasing collective intelligence.

As intelligence increases, the need for a "higher power" decreases. I predict that ALL religions and other superstitions will be in history books by the end of my predicted lifetime (but I might die before then cause I love taking chances).
