Some suggestions relating to bar customer etiquette. I only take exception to the first, "Waving Money to Get Attention". Well, in some crowded gay bars, with aggressive guys all around you, you'll go without a drink until closing time if you don't make yourself seen.

I don't wave my money, but in a mob I'll hold up a bill, so the bartender knows I need a drink, I'm not just sitting there. I think most actually appreciate this visual "flag". If he's got my bank card then I may hold up my empty glass, or place it to the catch shelf along the inside of the bar.

I think it's actually making the bartender's job easier. And when he comes over I greet him with a big smile and a pleasant quick greeting, to indicate I'm not irritated. I do believe in good bar etiquette (and restaurant, too, for that matter), but not that first suggestion, based on gay bar realities.

    ummmmm

    "Asking for Free Drinks

If the bartender wants to give you something for free, he will. If he doesn’t want to, he doesn’t have to. No matter how much money you spend, technically, the only thing a bartender owes you is what you ordered."

The owner of the bar I work in is tight, but hey it's HIS bar!
Who I have sex with doesn't matter to the business. The only way 1 person gets free drinks all night is if he's doing something for the bar: Bingo caller, bar back, security.

I can't believe after you did a thread about it - that you didn't give us the proper etiquette for passing out in the floor of a bar.

    laughing-smiley-face.gif

I'm sure someone has that thread and several more on your drinking escapades handier than I do at the time.

I would hesitate to say "mentoring" but merely mentioning. I though it was an interestesting article to pass along.

And yes, I don't need advice about bar etiquette. To the extent that I took exception to one of the suggestions.

But discussion would be more useful, than the usual disruptive and personal attacks here, by the troublemakers whose purpose on RJ is to derail threads for their own perverted reasons.

But thanks, I appreciate your adult post. Truly.

I've had sex with bartenders, and club DJs, too. And never expected a drink, though I'll admit the service was better. They're watched pretty closely in many places, don't want them getting in any trouble with the management.

I haven't been to a PS bar in a very long time. Last time was when we had a Great Autos event out there.

I think we can agree on why A.D.'s home porn tapes with bartenders aren't keeping him in pocket change.

Modesty isn't concept know to him. Case in point.........

When accused endlessly of being the first human 5'7" male weighing 200 lbs with a 40 inch waist and being endlessly appropriately called a "fat ass" he posted nude pics of himself that he supposed would dispel all talk of him being a "fat ass".............. What the picture proved was that he a Flat ass fat Ass willing to go to unbelievable extremes to maintain his delusional Diva self-image.

Pictures of his fat ass neekid on patio chaise.. Pictures of him in various levels of guzzling alcohol..... but NONE of him as a supposed colonel in the US army.... in SEVEN YEARS for the most braggadocious queenosexual in Realjock... HELLO?

Do the math and carry the ZERO.

A 66 y/o liar living with a 81 y/o "lover/sugar daddy who OWNS the property that a US army colonel is supposedly living in while acting like a neurotic teen ager (every thread he starts is about ME ME ME ME ME) He could have never made it above an E4 with his neurosis.

And we haven't even discussed him abandoning his wife and kids... decades ago.

Yep, unless it's at a restaurant and the drinks from the bar are transferred over. Then there may be a mandatory gratuity for groups.

Get to know your bartender at your local watering hole. Go strictly to him for your drinks and tip him well. After a while when he sees you walk in the door he will have your drink waiting for you before your ass hits the stool.
