I found this website. It would be great if someone could verify if it was totally legit.

First thought: Wow!!! This is awesome!!!

Second thought: The second poster in this thread is from Texas and has no public photos.

Note to dude in Texas: It's legal here to be gay. Show yourself. Even the Houston Mayor is openly lesbian. Make a change in your own state by being yourself and stop being such a fucking coward.

I'm openly gay and I've protested outside the offices of my state's anti-gay representatives. Nevertheless, I don't want to be associated with this website and its many dysfunctional inhabitants. If that makes me a coward to some I'm fine with that. I'm brave in places where it really matters.

I almost always agree with you politically, but this kind of elitist comment is extremely disappointing. I can't help but think it makes you fundamentally an arrogant and dishonest person. You think you're better than the unwashed masses? Are you planning on becoming a politician?

As I said, I agree with your words, but it's appalling that you literally don't stand by them. You hide behind them. My guess is that the only reason you're "fine" with us thinking you're dishonest is because you're anonymous. You would clearly care a great deal what people thought of you if you were standing behind your words. An as anonymous poster, your words are just part of a cluster fuck of noise, and you want others to possibly stand by them, even if you won't???

I'm not ashamed to be associated with "dysfunctional" people, and I'm not two faced. I am who I am, on and off of RJ.

You say you'll show your face when it matters, but integrity isn't a nest egg you should be saving up. If you can't show your face, then you're just an internet troll, and your "real life" which ostensibly wouldn't be caught dead on RJ, and in which you only associate with functional people, is a sham just waiting to be exposed.

Seeing that picture in the OP again, after reading suntory's comments, really puts perspective the bravery of people who don't walk the world with a bag over their head.

    Have some Pride, people!!!!icon_biggrin.gif

Especially those people who are walking a world where violence is a real threat. They are truly brave and heros in my book.

Those people are very brave to march like that. We need Christians the world over to condemn the violence against them.

Christians caused the violence in the first place. Maybe we should just let the secular world step in and condemn homophobia. God is already a known bigot.

    Edit:

When I read fictional stories about deities, I analyze the characters like I would when reading a novel, and if the Bible were a novel, then God would be identified as the villain. He just abuses all the humans he creates from beginning to end. They have to suffer and repent and take responsibility for sins that other people committed.

Everyone says the devil is evil, and that the devil's only mission is to coerce people into committing evil acts, but that's just propaganda. According to the story, the only thing the devil did was form a rebellion against a dictator. Maybe he was gay and that's why be rebelled.

The devil isn't evil. He's no Cain. He's not even a Judas. He's like Jesus. He thinks he's the Messiah. Jesus rebelled too, only he begged forgiveness. The devil just says a big F U to God, which offends God more than murder.

The deity of this novel is petty. Look what he did to Lot's wife. There are better heros, if you're into hero worshipping. And not just in novels. To this day, I vote for RuPaul.

    Stephenoabc:

Then block the profiles of those you don't like and ignore all their posts. You wouldn't then be associated with those you judge as dysfunctional.

And if you want to insist on playing that game,

In a 1 mile radius of where you live, do you not show your face because you don't want to be associated with those you judge as dysfunctional?

In Keep-Austin-Weird-Austin, do you not show your face because you don't want to be associated with those you judge as dysfunctional?

People are more likely to judge you by your hot list and your like list than by all the members of RealJock.

In the context of this thread, it does matter. Chances are in any other thread it would not matter. Here, it does.

I think you hit the nail on the head about how it matters in the context of this thread.

    @Suntorytime

You're a strong voice for equality, and I hope you continue to be, even if you don't reveal yourself to us dysfunctional homos. That said, think about what the closet means to gay people. It means people can't see that you represent an individual who matters!!!

Back in 2008, I was happy to keep profile with my photo public here. That's not the case anymore even after my return from a long hiatus.

Maybe my words had an element of elitism in them, but I didn't mean to offend you or anyone else on this forum I have little issue with. I'll be the first to admit I can be a pigheaded and even a bit uppity, but I always mean well, both offline and on. I'm still not making a public profile today, tomorrow, or even next week. Maybe I'll do it eventually. Maybe I'll drop off this site again like I did in 09 and never come back. Either way, I'll do it on my own time. Hammering on it only hits the pigheaded button. icon_razz.gif

Who said I was black? People from all races can and should defend blacks from demented racists. I don't believe I'm a victim. I live a great life. I'm surrounding by great friends. I'm dating a great guy. I work with great people. Money always seems to find me instead of the other way around. Knowing all this, I've dedicated a great part of myself to help those less fortunate.

One of the reasons I'm here is because I despise lies racists like yourself love to propagate

I'm not leaving and I will continue calling you out on your disgusting racist, idiotic garbage. There is absolutely nothing you can do about it.

You think you're "calling me out" when in fact nobody cares about the stupid crap you focus on. I remember the time during a PM conversation I suggested Pazzy to go back to Africa. He created a thread about that with the intention of publicly "shame me". Do you know what happened? Nobody gave a shit! LOL not even 1 poster defended his accusations or had any empathy towards him:

1 - because what I said was a simple suggestion and nobody thought it was racist, and 2 - because people are sick of whiners like you complaining and using the victim card for every thing. You're tiresome, you think you're helping but you're making it all worse. You're the equivalent of the annoying feminazis fighting for women's rights.

It's funny because in the end Pazzy got banned for being an annoying liability for RJ. Your own stupidity and blindness remind me of him.

U.S. officials attend Uganda Pride event

"A State Department spokesperson on Monday said officials from the U.S. Embassy in Uganda last week attended a Pride-related event in the country’s capital.

John Kirby told the Washington Blade during his daily press briefing that “embassy officials from the public affairs and political sections were represented.” He did not specifically identify them, but said they attended a cocktail party in Kampala on Aug. 5 that officially opened the four-day Pride celebration.

More than 300 people on Aug. 8 attended a Pride parade in Kampala that took place without violence and other incidents. The event coincided with the year anniversary of the Constitutional Court of Uganda ruling that struck down the country’s Anti-Homosexuality Act under which those convicted of repeated same-sex sexual acts faced life in prison."
