Australia's Gay Marriage concience vote quashed by the deeply Conservative Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott. Is this issue the most important issue in the lives of the GLBT community?

Australia has gender neutral defacto relationship recognition brought in by a previous Conservative government & while few are saying no to Gay Marriage is this issue the most important matter ffor the majority. If where you live does recognise same sex marriage, how has it changed your life

Just filled out a new lease application...instead of both of us filling out multiple duplicate pages he only had to put down "husband's" income.

So less paper work is your take on Gay Marraiges impact on your life!

Would your life change that much if theoretically you were made to fill out 2 forms, maybe even if married. It doesn't sound like much of a change!

    you asked
when you've been together 15 years; not having to worry about making sure everything is in both your names, both Power-of-Attorney are up to date, is a big deal...

It appears that Australia has an blind, ignorant conservative government similar to the Stephen Harper led government in Canada.
