... then throw away (or delete) every music album you have; and this includes "religious" music.

Because, there was never a popular song created under the influence of "life."

Every piece of "good" music ever created was only created by an artist under the influence of a "mood-altering drug."

    Just sayin'. icon_wink.gif

    Haha! I thought so.
I love the percussion that Danny Carey puts into tool's albums. Everything is so intricate. Especially 10000 days. Or you were listening to the comedian?

That's a complete lie, there are plenty of songs that are not influenced by drugs. For example, this one:

I shall not give up my Bach, Beethoven, and Brahms albums, nor Bartok, Borodin, Britten, Berlioz, Bernstein, Bizet, Barber, Bellini, Bruckner, Buxtehude, etc. However, so far as I know, none of them used drugs except for ethanol.

I'm down with this hypothesis. Most of my moody creative work is captured when I'm "altered." Now, I don't really indulge in drugs, but sleep deprivation, hunger & illness all bring out a weird emotional state in me that allows unedited spasms of color to erupt into existence. It's always from a "I don't give a fuck" state of mind.

On alcohol, I've been told, it's like I'm on jet fuel. Funny, creative, etc. But sadly lost in haze. I have no use for creativity that I can't remember or access.

I'm sure some of these artists have had to contend with that Catch-22. Remain fucked up all the time to maintain the heat...then die young? Errrrr...

Ethanol is way more potent and gives a way bigger buzz than most of the designer/street drugs available now.

Not that I'd know this from experience or anything. icon_wink.gif

Haven't smoked pot in years but it is incredible. Couldn't imagine going through life without ever having experienced it.

If you go by this ideology you might as well live in a hole.
brb not listening to music because most artist are on drugs or sing about them in songs

brb not watching movies because 98% of the time movie stars use steroids or other drugs to get into shape for the movie roll.

brb alcohol is a drug. Better not go out to any restraunts because they serve alcohol in them.

Almost everything in the world has some connection to drugs.

Sorry Paulflexes. That's a generalization with a giant size paint brush.
I'm inclined to agree with bonaparts on this.

I'm trying to figure out how you could have gotten such an idea in your head. I guess it's the same as if I did a search on bing for images "hot naked studs" then looked at the results and concluded that all naked studs suck dick and take it up the ass.

You should probably broaden your experience with music.

I feel like I get super artsy when i've smoked some good weed.
Like, I get really into the zone with stuff, it's pretty wild.
