Democrats, are you going to arrest every shirtless man at the next gay pride parade in NYC?

A state senator from the Bronx has a new proposal in response to concerns about topless women in Times Square: make it illegal for anyone — male or female — to go topless in public.

Democratic Sen. Ruben Diaz says Friday that he will introduce legislation to prohibit toplessness for both genders in all public places except beaches. Diaz, an ordained minister, says the ban would apply to men also for equality's sake.

Public toplessness is currently legal in New York.

Here's a rant from homophobe State Senator Ruben Diaz at an antigay rally:

Thanks for pointing this out, another religious right wing nut job.

"Diaz, an ordained minister", who sounds homophobic Jamaican, doesn't speak English and needs an interpreter.

No one has ever denied, the black church community, has homophobic democrats, we know this in the 2008 presidential election with CA Prop 8 on the ballot. South Central Los Angeles, the democrat black community, was convinced to vote yes on Prop 8, while electing the first democratic black president at the same time.

The issue here is the obsession with the morality, control and sex police known as religion, not party affiliation.

When we say "right wing", we mean religious nut job, not just republican party where, 'nut job' is much more prevalent, a conservative democrat is called a 'moderate'.

Some believe the term "conservative" was hijacked by the religious right wing to promote their agenda. There should be a separation between fiscal conservatism and social conservatism. One as nothing to do with the other but because of the agenda of religion, they had to have control of something and unfortunately for the republican, the fiscal conservative party, the religious nut jobs had no where else to go, but again, could form their own party (which they did- Tea Party)(AKA Reagan-Democrats)

I say ban topless women...Gosh! Nothing worse than a pair of mammory glands in your face. But nothing wrong with men walking around shirtless. Of course there are limits; let's say, when entering public venues such as Supermarkets, Shops, Bars, etc. Unless the Bars don't have a particular 'Dress Code'. On a Beach, Beach Promenade...why not?

The worst thing we could do is cave in to the demands of this cult. They will relentlessly demand more and more of our freedom. They will never run out of ways to punish us for being human. They'll force women to wear veils, mutilate babies' genitals, turn our relationships into capital crimes, and persecute anyone who questions them. Monotheism is tyranny. They're a bunch of devil worshipers, really.

I'm born and raised in Utah. I expected the whole outside world to be liberal and good with nudity. Boy, was I mistaken. Nude beaches in California weren't near as plentiful as I once would have supposed, nor are there endless orgies on the same. Come to find out, law enforcement gets off interfacing with nude guys on beaches and tried to set them up for arrest from time to time, putting them on a sex offender list.

Some crazy stories told me by locals in San Doego and Los Angeles could bites on how things used to be years ago. Quite a crack down has occurred since then.

This has more to do with religious nut-jobs.

Look at this, Barcelona, one of the most gay cities in the world that are still in the grasp of religious craziness.

Is it illegal in Barcelona to walk around without a top, or just wearing a bikini in the city?

Yes. It is illegal for men to walk around bare-chested without a top, or to only wear a bikini top, except at Barcelona's beaches and on the streets very close to the beach. Also if ladies and girls are wearing very skimpy and revealing outfits or very short skirts they might not be allowed to visit the Barcelona cathedral in the gothic area. Fines can be up to €500 for breaking nudity code, so dress appropriately to avoid problems.

He ran unopposed in the Democratic Primary. The NY State Democratic Party couldn't find anyone to run against him.

As a result, the New York State Senate has a lot of lunatics and hatemongers who come from both democratic and republican ranks.

There are places where it is in bad taste to be shirtless. However, that does not mean that it should be illegal. If proprietors of an establishment wish, they can establish their own dress codes; some already have.

Years ago in Minneapolis I was startled to see a shirtless man in a large downtown department store. Although he did have a nice body, I saw it as being in gross bad taste to be shirtless in that location.

At least he's also for banning the shirtless women.

    And I don't blame him.

They're either hideous lesbians or body-painted go go Times Square skanks legally advertising their wares.
