Good, Trump would be embarrassed to the core if you did.

However, I'm not about to vote for him either because he's NO Ronald Reagan.

He may not need your vote or mine to win!

Well if your choice is Trump or Hillary, go right ahead and vote for Hillary.

I remain hopeful that we have some other choice.

I'm a fan of Reagan. I liked how he stood up to PATCO, the Air Traffic Controller union who tried to bully the country. I also liked how he stood up for the US in the Cold War.

To assess his intellect, to compare with Trump's, I offer a few paragraphs from an obituary of Viktor Sukhodrev, a Soviet interpreter who attended many meetings between US Presidents and Soviet Premiers:

Khrushchev’s successor Leonid Brezhnev, whom Sukhodrev recalled as being “an uneducated man ... lazy about reading what he was given to read”, presented different challenges. Although he established a good rapport with Richard Nixon, by the time he met Jimmy Carter in the late 1970s, the Soviet leader was a doddering old man who could not conduct a conversation.

At the Vienna summit of 1979, when the two leaders signed the second Strategic Arms Limitation Treaty, Sukhodrev recalled being told to prepare written responses to questions Brezhnev might be asked by Carter. If needed, he was supposed to hand them to Brezhnev.

“Among the papers I had was a special one. It all depended on how Carter phrased his question. Either Brezhnev had to read the whole answer or only half of it. When Carter did ask the question, I scored out the unnecessary part from the text and passed the paper over to Brezhnev.

“He began to read it, but when he came to the passage I had crossed out he turned to me and asked: 'Don’t I have to read any further?’

“'No, you don’t,’ I replied, looking with horror at Carter and his interpreter who were watching the scene attentively and knew perfectly well what was going on. I felt really ashamed.”

But he recalled with satisfaction that the tables were soon turned, when President Ronald Reagan - “who could only read from cue cards” - faced Mikhail Gorbachev, “whose mind ran ahead of his tongue so far that the words all came tumbling out”.

Trump is the lessor of two evils compared to the hapless Hillary ho. I will gladly vote for Trump over Hillary any day.

I'm a "raving far left looney", politically, but that's just not true.

I don't agree with a single policy Reagan ever implemented. But he was routinely "shunned" at Hollywood parties in the 40s, 50s, because everyone knew he was the most boring person in the room: all he ever wanted to do was talk the nuts and bolts of political policy. And he knew those nuts and bolts inside out.

If you read the biographies of him, he learned very early on (as a teenager) that he usually a) was the smartest person in the room, and, more importantly b) not to show it; it turned people off him. That's not an unusual "syndrome".

His letters to Nancy when he was on the road for GE are replete with the most well-thought-out political philosophy and more policy-wonk details.

Yes, when he assumed the presidency he was old, already "doddery", and probably in the early stages of Alzheimer's, and not as quick as he used to be. But read those letters; read those biographies; go watch his early 1960s speeches, or even his Panama Canal debates, to see how fast a thinker he was on his feet.

Again, I would disagree with every single one of his policies; but there was nothing "stupid" about Ronald Reagan... at all.

Donald Trump is a complete moron, in comparison.

Something like NIXON was no Clinton. hmmm lol Maybe?

Times change and "for the people" are not getting what they pay for in DC.

Trillions owed....that we will never be able to pay off. Keep that in mind. I think if there is a comparison between Trump and Reagan, it would be they are a little more concerned about not having such a Big Government and the price that goes with it......especially, when nothing is getting accomplished!

I agree. He absolutely has to stop sending out petty spat tweets against people who simply are not important. I'm guessing that this is all a set-up for an eventual highly publicized and hyped Donald Trump interview with Megyn Kelly -- dubbed a showdown of sorts -- that gets massive ratings for FOX NEWS and ends in them kissing and making up.
