"I just don’t think that they should be prosecuting cases … for people who steal from Wal-Mart. I just don’t think that, right?” said UW-Madison director of community relations Everett Mitchell. “I don’t think [with] Target or all them other places, them big box stores that have insurance, they should be using justification, the fact that people steal from there as justification to start engaging in aggressive police practices, right?”

somebody should steal his car, he has insurance anyway, right?

I can't agree with these comments. Permitting theft in some places is encouraging theft in others. Maybe from my residence, maybe from my car, maybe from my person. This is totally wrong.

In the last couple of years America seems to be moving towards legalizing all types of crime. When perhaps 50% of your population is composed of illegals and thugs, what would you expect liberal American's to gravitate towards?

However it was totally OK when the Mayor of Baltimore had the police stand down and not protect local businesses from being looted.

Is this a new stance of yours on this issue? You didn't express outrage over what happened to the small business owners who had their stores looted and destroyed with the Mayor's OK.

Go away, you hateful, anti-gay agent. Everything you say is aimed against our gay community, and those who support us.

Theft of Walmart is bad, but not as bad as Shopping there and supporting their wicked business practices.

Madison is one of the 3 or 4 nuttiest cities in the USA along with Santa Cruz.

How is what I posted above "anti-gay" Kolonel KooKoo?

Funny you didn't contest that you aren't inherently anti-gay, just that you think your single post wasn't. Except that it attacked my post, as you always do, on whatever topic I post. As you attack many other gays here. Your mission here being to undermine gay rights and causes, while promoting the homophobic political Right Wing.

Well, it certainly was different, when I spent 2 weeks there once. Not bad looking in the summer. No gay scene there at all, despite having a university campus in town. There was 1 gay-friendly bar in town, and that was it.

Austin, Texas is one hundred times nuttier than either Madison or Santa Cruz.

How nuttier? I went there often, living not far south in San Antonio 4 years. And going to the quaint German towns (yes, German), between those 2 points, sorta a gateway to the Hill Country.

Lol. So by "nutty," you mean a city with low crime, high income, high levels of education, and high levels of personal happiness and satisfaction? In which case you should add Minneapolis to your list as well. We could use more of that kind of "nuttiness" in our country.

Or you could be like Baltimore MD, Niagara Falls NY, Youngstown OH, Saginaw MI, and Gary IN, low education levels, high crime, rampant unhappiness with shitloads of urban decay and abandonment as far as an eye can see.icon_cool.gif

Madison is liberal, extremely liberal. yet it is one of the most racist cities in the USA. A black male is 4-5x more likely to be stopped by police than a white male. Hmmm...why is that? the libs want more of that in our country? The violent crime rate is up and the indigent population has exploded which the leaders (democrat) in the city hate. High income? yes because a lot of the employment is government workers.
