    Can someone tell me what is the name of the bones/belt that is around your wasit as in this pic.

    The hip bones/ or that line around his wasit!

    The "V" looking bones/muscle!



    Someone told me Orions Belt but google does not say so!

    Apollo's belt or Adonis' belt would be the colloquial.

    I once heard it referred to as the dark smile in a poem but I can't remember which one.

    CincyBOJ is right. It's the Iliac crest that is the bone. The muscles however are the transverse abdominis and the oblique abdominis. I always wondered why some people would work them out so much.
    The main function of the muscles is for exhalation (they draw the rib cage down). Secondary function is for abdominal pressure for tasks like having a baby, coughing, lifting, etc. . .
