Dick Cheney to be charged in $180-million Halliburton bribery case

Dick Cheney, former US vice president, will be charged Thursday by Nigerian anti-corruption police in a case against Halliburton.

The charges were dropped after a plea bargain.

Strange how RJ's conservatives never flagged up this story, about a former Republican VPOTUS plea bargaining away a corruption charge, yet they have managed to generate 55 separate threads in 6 months about a former Democrat Secretary of State's private email server.

(Standby for conservarump "false equivalence" rants.)

I left this thread alone yesterday because the fact that the story is five years old shows that Metta isn't at all concerned about the content or the accuracy of his threads.

I imagined he was desperate and had to really do some digging to come up with shit that's ancient news and portray it as current events.

    "DECEMBER 3, 2010"

He's done that many times if it's something disparaging to right wingers, but he ignores recent ones such as

I think your definition of 'desperate' may be a little too subjective. How about fifty-five threads on the subject of Clinton's email server? Desperate?

As fast as the Hillary email debacle is unfolding and as wide as it's spreading the number of threads will be up to fifty before we know it. I'm about to research something I heard on NPR this morning and possibly start another thread today.

So shove your false equivalents up your ass.

Some of you are too busy trying to make an issue over something that was resolved 5 years ago and isn't even necessary to discuss in 2015.

Here's the issue, right from the OP

Metta8 Aug 31, 2015 8:08 PMDick Cheney to be charged in $180-million Halliburton bribery case

Come on, Metta. This was epic reckless stupidity on your part.

Metta8 was simply quoting the headline from the news article he cited (which is more than Southbeach usually manages and you never complain about him). Besides, I'd be careful about accusing others of quoting outdated information: The info in your "Immigrants on public assistance" headline is based on stats from 2012.

A country where Dick Cheney and Haliburton fit in very well indeed.

I don't understand even giving this thread any serious discussion. The latest batch of the Hillary emails was released a couple of days ago, adding further evidence to the corruption of her and aides. And you let yourselves be goaded by those anxious to deflect into a discussion of a 5 year old charge from one of the most corrupt countries in the world.

And yet, here you are discussing it. I doubt there is any likelihood of attention being deflected from Hillary's emails, given that Southbeach, Bob3 and you have carpet bombed this forum with threads on the subject.
