New Bill In California Would Make It Legal To Sue Porn Actors For Not Using Condoms

“All I have to do as a private citizen is see a performer not using a condom in a video, and I get to haul them into court.”

This is absurd! It is not any more appropriate to legislate the use of condoms than it is to make sodomy illegal. I will vote against this measure when it appears on the ballot, and I hope that it fails.

It's worth noting that the recent "outbreaks" were with regards to hetero porn or condom gay porn, specifically KINK.COM, and not bareback porn.

Hetero porn companies DO test their models but only at the beginning or end of the month.

    http://www.sfaf.org/hiv-info/testing/hiv-test-window-periods.html

"There's a period of time after a person is infected during which they won't test positive. This is called the “hiv window period.”

The window period can be from 9 days to 3-6 months, depending on the person's body and on the HIV-test that's used. During that time, you can test HIV negative even though you're HIV infected. You can still catch HIV from someone who is in the window period. In fact, there is evidence that a person in the window period is more likely to pass the virus on. "

we all understand the risks of HIV/aids but you have to admit, bareback porn is really hot, plus one size (condom) doesn't fit all.

Don't take the bill too seriously. Many ridiculous bills are introduced only to receive very few votes.

This proposed law has so many federal and California constitutional and statutory impediments I don't know where to begin.

The legislation will hopefully not pass, but if it does the legislation will be dead on arrival.

"we all understand"? Do we? Unless you have HIV, which is a permanent life-altering diminishing condition, I don't think "we all" do.

If you DO have HIV and are so casual about it, you take a lot for granted. What if you no longer had the means to afford the meds...or somehow the meds became NOT available?

    Citation needed.

I know guys like Billy Santoro, Deviant Otter, and Atticus Fox are on prep...but guys like Griffin, from CM, that don't exclusively fuck bareback off camera are not.

I can see a lot of California Lawmakers watching a lot of porn. You can only see the condom if you zoom in. Also how will they know which actor is who. Unless they sue the entire crew. I can hear the Court proceedings already...The case of David Hardbody vs State of California - Star of 'The hot hot summer'

As long as they're making depictions of dangerous behavior illegal, perhaps they should make some car advertisements illegal. They do all sorts of dangerous things in those advertisements.
