    abcnews.go.com[...]

Lawyers for some of the rejected couples and the ACLU of Kentucky have now filed a contempt motion, asking U.S. District Judge David Bunning to hold Davis in contempt of court and that the court "impose financial penalties sufficiently serious and increasingly onerous to compel Davis' immediate compliance without further delay."

Bunning has called Davis and all her deputy clerks for a federal court hearing on Thursday at 11 a.m. in Ashland, according to Rowan County Attorney Cecil Watkins.

I like how she says "there is a remedy to this" several times at the end of the video.

What she doesn't realize is that remedy is her ass in jail, getting her pussy fist-fucked by some lesbian gang bangers.

the punishment should be to annul her 2nd and third marriages and reinstate and force her to be subserviant to the first man. You know, like the bible says is the law, that she fully supports.

I know, does that mean that if a were a county clerk I didn't have to grant marriage license to a couple getting their second or a third marriage based on some religious belief? I don't think so.

As I recall from my own Catholic Church teachings, Catholics cannot marry non-Catholics without a dispensation. What if the Clerk is a Catholic? Can that restriction be enforced? What about Jews, Muslims, Hindus and other assorted religions? Can a Clerk also object to those, or to Christians if the Clerk happens to be a non-Christian, each based on private beliefs that are likewise "firmly held"?

This would lead to legal chaos, exactly why the Founders tried to establish the separation of Church & State. They knew the disastrous European wars that had resulted from religious conflicts, they being much closer in time to it and understanding it far better than we do today. What is the adage? "Those who forget history are condemned to repeat it."

Yet today the Christian Fundamentalists and political Right Wingers try to revise history, and claim the US was founded as a strictly Christian country. The contemporary writings of the Founders themselves prove exactly the opposite. But then, when do facts dissuade fanatics?

That will probably be the best thing for her financially. Think about the money she will make from donations to her cause. The book she will right about her harrowing ordeal of standing up for God against the forces of evil. She will have ample time to sell it on her many fox news appearances. CNN will invite her on too so they are not left out of the money making controversy. She knows what she's doing. The other Kentucky Clerk looking to join her is realizing she is going to get all of the lime light and all of the money. Too bad for him he isn't as appealing as she is.
