I'm guessing that most people are becoming more frugal with the economy like it is (although I am sure some are cashing in big time on the huge discounts at some places icon_biggrin.gif). I have started saving up for a new roof on the house, and possibly to finish the basement. What big ticket items are all of you saving up for? Cars? Houses? Video Game Systems? Bowflex? ;)

nixon ceramic Player watch, could go buy, but actually saving in a separate place for it, just like when I was a kid, need to learn the skill again of "luxury" purchases as a special thing.

I should add I am in Canada where the economy isnt as bad as the US, I feel for those guys who have lost jobs or a big portion of their savings.

I'm saving up for a thalaron projector with which to annihilate the crews in Sedative's armada so that I might trade his war fleet in at the dealership towards a fully loaded Dyson Sphere complete with a hyperneutronium outer hull, multispacial quantum slipstream drive and a full compliment of transphasic multi-warhead torpedoes.

    I have $1000.00 saved up already... icon_razz.gif

So I should be able to buy two pairs of pants, one mid-rise brief, and a shirt.icon_confused.gif

I'm saving up for a trip to Germany this Sept. I'm so stoked. It's a reunion of friends I've served in the military with. They are way more like family to me than actual friends. Some I haven't seen in almost 5 years. We keep in touch on the regular but it's going to be sweet seeing the crew again.

Moving at the end of this year

I've been saving for the past couple of years and paying down all my bills so that I don't have any extras expenses other than living when I go.
