So you THINK you live in a "well mixed", diverse area?
Take a better look at how Americans divide themselves by race...The American "Melting Pot" has definite lines and regions!

    ARTICLE in WIRED Magazine.... http://www.wired.com/2013/08/how-segregated-is-your-city-this-eye-opening-map-shows-you/

May be a little dated....at 2013, but the patterns are obvious in places!
"This map is an American snapshot; it provides an accessible visualization of geographic distribution, population density, and racial diversity of the American people in every neighborhood in the entire country.
The map displays 308,745,538 dots, one for each person residing in the United States at the location they were counted during the 2010 Census.
Each dot is color-coded by the individual's race and ethnicity.
The map is presented in both black and white and full color versions.
In the color version, each dot is color-coded by race.

ok turn over a few race cards with respect to real estate:
Keeping the population density the same, I notice in Denver there are fewer shootings in the Mexican hoods. Whatever.

Not surprised. As always, people tend to gather where like minded (or same race) live. Go to most dinner parties and you'll see it every time. It's just our natural instinct and the sooner we accept that the sooner we can all get along better!

    As the wise saying goes:
"Birds of a feather flock together."

Yes, this was brought up before when a member from across the pond hatted on America's diversity using the map of Detroit.
We dispatched his sexy ass forthwith...

There is nothing stopping anyone with enough money for a neighbourhood from living there. If people choose to live in a neighbourhood that is pretty much their fault. You can rent or buy any property through an agent and the seller never has to see what race you are till you move in.

These maps will change big time in the next 5 - 7 years. Real estate prices are increasing and gentrification is concurrently increasing. It's kinda crazy when little shacks in the ghetto get bought, flipped, and sold for half a million dollars.

Neat map. My town has one of the most balanced mosaics in our area, and our crime has been falling.
