Can anyone recommend some good movies to watch? Preferably something with action and fantasy. Already watched all lord of the rings trilogies from the "Hobbit" to "The Fellowship of the ring" and seen the Harry potter series too.

The latest Mad Max with Tom Hardy was pretty good! Also, if you liked the original Jurassic Park, go see Jurassic World.

I found Mad Max boring....it was over 2 hours long and had no story....just traveling back and forth through the desert. The Jurassic Park movies all have pretty much the same story, slightly different version. But I really have trouble with movies that do not have well written stories.

Mission Impossible was entertaining. I'm not a big Tom Cruise fan but I think that it was worth watching.

For some reason I always associated Erik101 and Metta as the same poster but now that I see the 2 posting at the same time I realize theyre 2 different people lol. I think they have similar profile pics and same posting style.

I watched this movie recently Mystic river (2003) it was good, kind of a drama thriller.

Lol....um, thanks? I have a lot of respect for Metta, especially when he gives his opinion by backing it up with facts. I also like reading the news links he posts. Lately, I've been coming to this site only to catch up on current events I'm not aware of.

There are 5 installments to the movie. The 1st one was released in 1996. The latest one "Rogue Nation" is currently in the theaters. I'm not a big fan of Tom Cruise but I have to admit that he's a very good actor.

    some 80s classics:

effects may be older, but stories still work.

excalibur, dragon slayer, willow, time bandits, baron munchausen, the dark crystal, the princess bride, legend, ladyhawke, knights tale.

anything by studio ghibli if you like japanese cartoons.
