Americans sign petition to repeal 1st amendment.

See people sign a petition to support a "Male Privilege Tax."

That just goes to show you how easy it is to get signatures to put something on the ballot. Most, if not all, of those people who signed are probably not even voters. I wonder if they were even paying attention to what he was saying. People realize that most people with those petitions need signatures because that is how they make money. icon_confused.gif

There have been polls done where a plurality Republicans believed that Obama response to Hurricane Katrina was poor.

American voters, on ALL sides, are largely "low information voters". Regardless of party, voters often are misinformed if not totally uniformed about facts and topics. One example is the number of people who think Civil Unions have the exact same rights as marriage in the US.

    Other examples:

    1. "Survey" showed less than half of americans could name the 3 branches of government.
    http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/govbeat/wp/2014/09/18/only-36-percent-of-americans-can-name-the-three-branches-of-government/

    2. "Survey" showed that only ~65% of Americans tested could even pass the US naturalization exam.

    3. "Survey" showed nearly 25% of americans thought the sun revolved around the earth

Is Trump even a Republican? He gets simple-minded conservatives excited with his anti-immigration "zingers," but many of his economic policies are actually quite liberal.
He's for raising taxes on the wealthy and also wants to install singer-payer healthcare, which puts him to the left of Obama.
    Is the GOP being played?

Why certainly the conservative wing of the GOP is being played and they are in for an extremely rude awakening if "the Donald" wins both the GOP nomination and the White House. If that should possibly happen and at this point, no one really knows, "the Donald" is going to force the GOP to the center by evicting all the rabid tea party fools and the narrow minded bible thumping screwballs.
