Has anyone ever wondered what it would be like to be straight?

Has anyone ever been to reparative therapy? Personally my whole life I have been fighting people for being gay. Whether it be in the schoolyard or on the streets,I have done what I had to do. I have always known I was gay, but im not like "flamboyant" or effete with it, I just roll with the punches. Sometimes I wondered what it would be like to be straight, but then I would be "like everyone else" and who wants that? lol

I look at my straight male friends and what their lives become by age 35 and I want to turn and run. No time to have fun or be silly or wild... everything is about your wife and your kids. Play dates, lessons, endless shopping.

And they eat that canned-green-bean, canned-cream-of-mushroom, canned-fried-onion slop and get a big gut. No thanks!

I tried living the straight life. I have to admit it is easier if you conform, but you can't live a lie. Lies eat at your very soul. Now, that I'm openly gay I can't say that life is easier but at least my soul isn't being consumed.

    No life is perfect.

My thoughts on the subject.. there are really happy straight couples that have a great life, kids and lots to be proud of..
Then you also have your Gay couples that have a great life as well and are happy, just as proud.
The dynamics are different, but I don't think being straight makes life any better.

Sometimes when women talk non-stop and make me wanna run the other way.. I look at their husbands and think, how do you do it?? Plus, most of them have squat for a sex life and bills out the ass.

Every day, you hear about another straight couple breaking up after many years together.. (humm.. humm.. Jon Hamm)
So,, before you think it's so much better to have been born straight, look at the bigger picture.
Just think, Kim Davis could be your wife........ O_O...!

I wondered what it was like to be straight till I fingered some girl on a band bus in high school.

That sealed the deal. Pussy is nasty!

    >OP Wonder all you want - you can never know. Even if therapy kills all your homo desires, you won't be "straight." For you to be "straight" (if you are gay) would be for you to be a different person. Since you can't be that person, you cannot know what it would be like.

I also think you can take 2 brothers.. for instance, my brother and I. We're only 14 months apart and he looks 10 yrs older than me because of the stress in his straight life and the diet most of them follow. He was such a hot jock when he was younger, but marriage and one too many country casseroles has made the 2 of us look like we're from different families.

That said, I married a chef who can cook a mean casserole too, but we still eat and drink differently unless it's Thanksgiving dinner.. and then, all bets are off!

MuchMoreThanMuscle saidI think I'm fortunate to be attracted to men. The modern day woman is tragically fucked up. All this feminist bullshit and unwarranted misandry directed at men just seems over the top. If you look closely you'll see that many women feel it's their god given right to control men. I feel sorry for a lot of straight guys in relationships with women.

I'm not saying that all women are this way. But there are too examples to ignore the problem.

I grew up with women in my house and I never felt this way until I left home. But then come to think of it there were some cunty bitches in my age bracket in my neighborhood. I just never gave them the time of day. I had a mother and half-sisters that were in their teens by the time I was born. We all got along great, thankfully.

There's a lot to be said about what you just wrote, Adrien.
You're right, men and women's dynamics are vastly different than when we were kids.
There seems to be a struggle between men and women these days for power and pecking order.
I'd hate to have to ever compete with my partner in life.

Well some of them are happy, some, I'm not so sure. Even the ones that seem happy get wistful when we talk about the stuff we do.

And we do have a family (2 grandparents, 3 parents, 5 siblings and in-laws, 9 nieces and nephews to date), they just don't consume our lives.

I've spent nearly my entire life playing it straight... well, bi... and closeted.

I'm much happier now that I'm not playing at anything and just being myself.

I always knew that there was something gay about me ever since I was in elementary school. Playing sports with other guys made me feel all weird, but good. Fast forward to high school, and I was happy to be able to enter boy's locker rooms.

No one knows I'm gay though...except everyone on here now lol
