things just won't go your way?

    Even little things.

    Not asking for much.

I don't know how much more of this I can take. icon_neutral.gif

Life hasn't gone my way this year. No matter how hard I tried to turn the tides.
sleep paralysis is getting worse. but at least I realize it now and can somewhat "control" it when I realize it.
I keep telling myself things will be ok, things will be ok....but I don't even know if I believe that.

you know that song by Tove Lo?

I eat my dinner in my bathtub
Then I go to sex clubs
Watching freaky people gettin' it on
    It doesn't make me nervous
    If anything I'm restless
Yeah, I've been around and I've seen it all

I get home, I got the munchies
    Binge on all my Twinkies
    Throw up in the tub
    Then I go to sleep
And I drank up all my money
    Dazed and kinda lonely

You're gone and I gotta stay
    High all the time
To keep you off my mind

Experienced sleep paralysis once. Was scary.

So, what you feeling so down about?

You just experiencing a Burroughs "Naked Lunch" moment when you realize what is at the end of your fork.

No different for you than for every other human being on this planet.

Life either sucks or is beautiful. What would make everything ok for you?

What some who study dreaming refer to as a natural, i.e. born as a lucid dreamer, as opposed to developing it or having it initiate itself later in life as might by will be done or as it might naturally do seemingly on its own, and having practiced dream yoga for decades, I'm somewhat familiar if you want that input. Here or private or not at all. Your call.

I don't buy into the mentality of "I'm a drifting powerless victim stuck in a life that ought to be turned into a depressing movie."

Sleep paralysis can ruin your daytime mood too. Fix that and I'm guessing you'll fix a lot of other things too. Are you anywhere near this place?

Chulo, it sounds to me that you're describing depression. Serious depression. When you view even small things as never going your way, that's a very pessimistic outlook.

And saying you don't know how much more you can take suggests this isn't something that just happened. It's been building. I'm guessing months or years of this feeling, yes? Maybe not always that bad, but enough to feel like it's always hanging over you.

You won't find an answer here. Take it from me. I've been there. You need to see a mental health professional ASAP. You want relief from feeling this bad, this pained. Make an appointment with a therapist or a psychologist or a psychiatrist.

Your feeling of hopelessness can change.

Chulo needs a purpose in life; now that pazzy is gone Chulo is adrift and rudderless.
