    http://www.politicalgarbagechute.com/gay-atheist-cop-cites-victims-religious-beliefs-and-doesnt-stop-vandalism-at-baptist-church-picnic/

'A state trooper (gay and atheist) in a small Arkansas town ... decided to let the vandalism play out because the pastor at First Glen View Baptist church had recently written an op-ed for The Glen View Gazette in support of Kim Davis ... when “karma handed [him] the gift of seeing some kids breaking into cars outside Pastor Riccardellia’s church” he decided to exercise discretion in how he “approached the suspects.” According to Coharski, he simply watched and made sure the teenagers weren’t planning a terrorist attack'

“As soon as we’re all ready to go back to the time when we may not agree with each other, but we don’t have to treat each other like garbage based on our personal beliefs,” Coharski said at last, “count me first on that bus. Until then, it’s time to show the fundamentalists just how insanely they are acting.”

He's no better than Kim Davis. Do your job correctly or quit, it's that simple.

Not sure if this was real, but I would support it. These conservative religious nut jobs are all about, "freedom" until it affects them negatively.

Looks like you chose the wrong company, then. Or instead perhaps, the right company?

Of course this fake article is satire. Read the author's byline. The tipoff starts with "gay, atheist cop" (State Trooper) who works in Arkansas - I doubt such a person even exists in Arkansas. And he'd never keep his job if he admitted to allowing vandalism against church members to continue.

On the other hand, there has been legislation submitted in State legislatures (usually under some Orwellian doublespeak like "Religious Freedom Act", "Religious Protection Act" or "Religious Restoration Act") that would also exempt police, firefighters, and other first responders from their duties when they felt those conflicted with their religious beliefs. In which case you might indeed have a situation like this develop and be perfectly legal. And naturally result in tragic chaos for citizens.

And so I see a double satire here - not only of that misguided Kentucky County Clerk, but of the various "Religious Prejudice & Preference" acts that have been proposed in numerous States.

You sound like an idiot, a troll, or bitter. My guess may be all of the above. Sad.

    Satire... It's satire. Not real.

    Here, let me help:

"the use of humor, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize people's stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues."

    Look a pretty picture:

Well, it can be quite funny when people don't get it.

However I also see the danger of (naive) people sharing satirical stories, they believe to be true, on social media enraging more (naive) people, causing perhaps a facebook riot.
Now, most people keep the riots on-line, but unfortunately the combination of fake stories and stupid people sometimes does lead to trouble in the real world.
