    Hey,
I noticed some of you have eyeliner on and maybe foundation? I guess you'll look your best all ways? Are you inspired by this girl or other guys?
    If so why?
Why not just eat right and take care of your skin to avoid looking bad in the first place??? LOL
Do you think make up makes you more masculine.....more manly? What about the spray tan......Curiousicon_idea.gif

I can barely handle washing my face.

    That's way too much work.

    For even most drag queens.

makeup, and the societal norm that you are obliged to wear it, is one of the many reasons I'm glad to have been born male. I moisturize when I remember, that's about it... anything else would be putting lipstick on a pig anyway.

I don't see anything wrong with makeup used to conceal skin conditions and/or scars.

I had such an issue when I was younger and I used some.

As long as it's not obvious.

As for eye makeup, some guys look great with a bit of mascara, again as long as it's not obvious.

I use a lot of serums, oils, and creams on my face. My daily routine probably takes as long as it would take to apply makeup. But having great skincare has probably been one of the smartest long-term decisions I've ever made. I would have no use for makeup, because my skin glows from being so well nourished. It's a very healthy and natural look.

MuchMoreThanMuscle saidI really believe my skin looks great so long as I eat well. Dark green leafy veggies, carrots and dark berries for starters.

Why throw my money away on Chanel products when I can nourish from the inside?

Tbh, that's like saying you'll eat an apple instead of brushing your teeth. Your skin is your biggest organ, and healthy eating alone doesn't prevent premature aging. Oddly, most people are unwilling to even try to take care of their skin. In fact most people actively damage their skin with sun exposure. You don't need to go the Chanel route. There's a line called medyskin that's natural and cheap. I'd recommend experimenting with different oils to see the results for yourself. Try rubbing lavender oil on your face. It's so cheap and you'll be astounded to suddenly see what you looked like years ago all over again. I honestly wish I had started sooner.

I work at a drug store, so I buy things that are marked down all the time for the skin. One day I see this product that's marked down.. I see SPF and moisturizer... it's marked down so I buy it. A few months later I open it, squirt it in my hand to moisturize my face, and it's brown. I'm like WTF! I've never seen a brown moisturizer. So I put it on, then look at the box again...and it says primer...I'm like WTF! So I google it, and apparently its some form of makeup. But it's also a moisturizer. And I noticed I did look a little better... and I got a compliment at work. I haven't used it since because I don't feel comfortable with the notion that I use makeup.

Maybe a little bronzer would finally make you all feel like someone special for a change that you can finally stop your chronic bitching and get back to actually being a MAN? OMG....what's that? hahhaaaa

My top pick for a drugstore skincare product would be Olay Regenerist Regenerating Serum. That stuff is like magic. I use it daily.

I also like Avalon Organics Vitamin C line.

My go to SPF (sunscreen) lotions are Olay SPF 15 face lotion and Coppertone body lotion.

@MMTM the fact that you're so into nutrition means you'll just benefit even more from skincare. There are many oils that can be used on the skin. I only suggested lavender because that's one that really opened my eyes to what you can do for your skin. And don't even wash your face first. Apply it when you're tired after a long day, and it will clean your skin and shrink your pores and clear up your blackheads like medicine.

MuchMoreThanMuscle saidHym, I've never heard of this before.

    What brand do you recommend?

There's a line called Medyskin that got me into experimenting, because I really liked the whole line, and the ingredients listed are combinations of oils, often with coconut oil or refined coconut oil as the first ingredient. One of the oils in that line is called facelift, and it contains retinol. The only reason some people might avoid retinol is that it can make you more susceptible to UV damage, so if you use retinol even at night then you need sun protection during the day, which I would use either way... I would try many brands and just see what your skin likes.

Btw, I didn't mean to knock nutrition. I cater my diet to healthy skin foods. Dr. Oz called red peppers nature's botox, and I eat red peppers almost every day.icon_smile.gif
