Am not so informed on who in athletics is or is not "gay"...I learned of Mason at Princeton just this morning.

But THIS interview you share is remarkable.

Personally, if "gay" men in general took the mutual turmoil of their early lives and used it to nurture one another, it would benefit us. If "gays" used the social angst against same-gender connecting as a way to developing empathy for ANY PERSON who is being socially attacked, we'd in time become models of grace and deepened esteem.

Then, it would be a great PLUS to be "gay".

I've been too lazy to post but also Bobby Petrino, Jr. (former player and military guy, son of Louisville's Head Coach) came out a couple weeks ago, with a nice article in a new Louisville LGBT mag.

Given the choice between Keegan and Princeton- Keegan is the clear winner between the two. However, throw Joe Chandler into the mix and they both get obliterated!

It remains a MAJOR issue in college/pro sports for "gay" men (or women) to make themselves known. No matter what is said outwardly to the media, there WILL be personal repercussions.

But it seems ALL the lot of you are interested in is the shape of the butt, penis or the sheer facial good-looks

No, FBC, per my post, which mirrors other I make on topics like this. A guy's gotta have smarts AND good looks if he wants to make it w/ me! icon_cool.gif

Hey OP, why do you say he's "gay?" Sounds like he's plain ol' gay. Without the quotation marks.

I think it's awesome that more athletes are coming out. Maybe in our lifetimes, being gay won't be a big deal anymore!

That's most of what ~90% of people care about- everything else is second to that. Why else do you think the media is full of attractive people? Or why the athletes that get sponsored by major corporations are all attractive?

    Looks Matter. Get over it.

He's an Ivy League kid, and O-Linemen don't have much to prove in terms of good/not-so-good, aside from whether he's starting on an FCS roster. He doesn't have to become like Bill Bradley. But if he turns into anything like Bill Bradley OFF the playing field we'll all be the better for it.

Yes, I agree. YOU need to get over it. It was his ATHLETIC TALENT and dedication that got him to Princeton football.

    NOT his physical appearance.

Is a MAJOR problem with too many humans--and a DEFINITE PANDEMIC with "gay" men, this fixation on appearances and the shallowest surface conditions.

A major part of empowerment is in a nurturing environment where the mishaps and "failures" are received with the same smiles and encouragement as the "successes".

Because, to me, there is no "gay/straight"...just human beings.

I base this on Nature. Nature does not recognize any fundamental difference between "gay/straight" men...the seed in both is living and can lead to a child. The same with lesbians/"straight" women...the uterus is real in BOTH and can carry a child to term.

Yes, I appreciate the COURAGE it takes to reveal the focus of one's attraction in high level athletics.

SO MUCH BIGOTRY. You could be a great talent and STILL be denied opportunity because of it.

Honestly, I gotta say YUCK. What's attractive about those 2 men? EWW. They have pretty eyes, but past that, all I can say, is eww.
    They're definitely ugly.

Are you blind, both these guys are gorgeous, athletic hunks. What is with the EWW, you sound like a little girl. Instead you could have said that they are not my cup of tea or that I really don't care for them. But to say EWW and sound like a little girl, that is very tacky on your part. Butch it up bunkyicon_exclaim.gif
