How Kim Davis encourages me

Kim Davis is a deluded religious bigot on a campaign of LGBT-genocide. That she is backed and played by equally stupid but more clever right-wingers does not change the fact that she is the front line of the diminishing totalitarian right wing. At least in this country.

It is campaigns like hers that seek to marginalize groups that “aren’t like us,” and these groups are always the most vicious after they’ve already lost: look at the pointed-hood brigade blowing up Black churches in Mississippi, or Nazi fanatics hanging “defeatists” from lamp posts in the last days of the Third Reich.

But always the hatred is aimed at a minority. And that is what encourages me now: anti-Semitism gained momentum in Germany in the 20’s and 30’s, becoming a national movement. Can anyone really see that sort of institutionalized bigotry really becoming government policy in our country? Support of LGBT rights has risen to around 75% in the general population; anti-Semitism is almost universally regarded as shameful; racism is deplored by anyone with a brain and an education.

Kim Davis and her pathetic group of followers and controllers are as doomed as the Huckabee-for=president campaign. There will always remain numbers of frightened, poorly-educated, hate-filled people, and in a free society that can be a real pain in the ass, but outside benighted areas such as the South and other religiously-dominated areas where independent thought is discouraged – David and her ilk are powerless, and daily make their efforts seem more and more deluded and mean. In the end, the bigots are their own worst enemies and our unwitting allies.

Wonder about this. Seems more likely that there may be less sensitivity to the visual and expressive differences between the mainstream and those who are LGBT. Bigotry is still strong--and even within the LGBT population. Look at the Caster Semenya situation...many "gay" men sneer and call her a man.

Jewish hate is in my opinion, sustained by fear. Jews *DO* seem to be the "chosen"...they always seem to rise to the top in terms of wealth and power. In history, all of the money-lenders and property owners tend to be Hebrews. Is as if they are inherently shrewder than everyone else and everyone else has come to resent it.

I think the only way racism can be defeated is if EVERY sub-racial group experiences the deep emotional pain and helplessness of being ruthlessly diminished with no recourse.

I like your thesis, akin to the Westboro bunch, but wonder if it is true. The Republican party still holds to the theory of "pick a minority and make them the enemy" and people follow. Don't forget the Republicans just took Congress and they seem to love Donald. Hate works.

^ This is just backwards thinking. You're basically saying, "I am black and have been through hell. Now the only way for you to understand my pain is for you to experience what I've been through."

An eye for an eye doesn't instill compassion. In fact, where's your compassion. From your posts the message is pretty much the same which is one that revolves around victimhood.

If you had any concept of history you'd know that at one time or another every subculture and race has already been, in fact, defeated or diminished. But we all move forward. Come join us.

Direct EMOTIONAL experience trumps arm-chair sophistry, no matter how benevolent the intent. When a person has directly experienced a violent moment it create a potent impression that gets you to see yourself in another when THEY are going through something.

Until people experience emotional upheaval and thee social aftermath, (and I hope yours will come soon) there tend to always be the tendency to "make light" of another's struggles.

Victimhood? Pay EVERYONE the SAME wage and make getting employment EQUAL for ALL, regardless of vocation, then ALL will be on the same playing field.

See how you sneer at me and those like me, who must do more with less? Perhaps you can understand better why the mainstream sneer at "gays" going on about marriage. Is not as if "gay" men value marriage, need it--or even TRULY want it.

"Gay" men simply demand it BECAUSE it had been denied them.

You go on about "at one time or another every subculture and race has already been, in fact, defeated or diminished."

That is sophistry. No whites in modern history have been subjugated by another group without recourse or change. Certainly no white person EVER in the United States. While AT THIS MOMENT, non-whites in the US are living at a lesser socio-economic level than whites.

Point of further clarification: she ran as a Democratic candidate, winning her primary. She does not likely support Democratic platforms like, say, marriage equality. It is Republicans, particularly the presidential candidates, who are supporting her cause. I doubt she has anything in common with Elizabeth Warren. Or Jim Webb for that matter.

Please do not be patronizing. I shared what I felt needed to be said.

The white men in here seem to latch onto their "gayness" as a way to take on the semblance of being victimized and marginalize while in reality they are not being diminished in any way. Is akin to the behaviors of rich white kids who adopt inner-city clothing styles, take on black ghetto-speak, and buy rap CDs, which they blast from the hyper sound systems in their sports cars.

Sophistry? You really are unbelievable. You always heavily lace your antics in the threads with emotion. You do this in EVERY thread you contribute to. And now here you hoping that my upheaval moment in life will come soon. You want me to experience pain and suffering? What a nasty thing to say to another person. You want sophistry, reread your own bullshit here on the threads. There's nothing valid from your ongoing antics. With you it's always, "Poor black me. The world owes me."

Look at the generalizations you make here in the threads. The idiotic generalizations about Jews or "them gays" with regard to Truvada, implying they're sluts.

Perhaps you should become Jewish. You can convert you know. But be prepared, the stereotype of Jews isn't about being "the chosen" people who just magically got handed their money. Jewish people have one of the hardest work ethics and earn what they have. They don't sit around and mope at home collecting unemployment, constantly whining that the world owes them.

Answer me this. You make generalizations about Jews, "them gays", etc. What generalizations can you make about black Americans? Ones that don't revolve around victimhood. I'm curious to know.

I desire EQUALITY AND EQUITY. The world owes me nothing--*but* EQUALITY AND EQUITY. BECAUSE you are white in the US, YOU get these by default. You have actually earned nothing.

I would if whites could. When applying for work I am informed that 7 out of EVERY 10 OF *ALL* employment, across ALL and ANY profession is set aside for whites because supposedly demographically whites make up 70% of the workforce.

With so much opportunity for whites, I truly wonder how it is that ANY white person is jobless. Even in Hollywood to be an extra-player in all motion picture productions, 73% of employment goes to whites. In "period film/tv" productions, it is often 100%.

But Radd, you don't acknowledge this important predicament. Maybe because it is not in your best interest to.

Dude now your just making unsubstantiated accusations.
Your insinuating he is keeping someone down for his own good.

Dude, we are all gay here, that fact alone means most likely we have all had shared experiences on being marginalized on the same way.
Try accepting the fact that we all have our own crosses to bear.
And no ones experience is more valid than another's.
That sort of comparing is decisive and will only serve to making one an outcast.

So are you saying you're unemployed? Well, if that's the case I am sorry about that. But you need to be realistic. If you're unemployed at sixty years of age you more than likely won't find work due to age discrimination, not for being black. That's something you need to consider as a potential setback for not finding gainful employment.

My mother, who has been retired since sixty-five tried to find part time employment to supplement her income. She started looking at sixty-nine years of age. She has an EXCELLENT work history up until the time she retired. She worked for a company for over thirty-five years and on average took less than two sick days a year. She filled out many applications for no brainer jobs and never got one call back. It's because of her age.

Well, that didn't stop you from making assumptions about my life, did it? Yet you assume to know me or that I'm privileged just by my skin color. I know plenty of black people who have much better lives that a lot of white people.

You said Jews are the "chosen people." God, you make assumptions and generalizations about other people's lives and reduce their existence and oversimplify their lives based on color or religion.

I've seen you in multiple threads bring up race, slavery and your "poor me for being a black man." And in some of them race wasn't even the topic of discussion.

Fellow, YOU will see what you WISH to see no matter what I say or do. And frankly I do not care.

Just as presumably "gays" do/did not care that others grew tired of hearing of their issues.

The issues I bring up are REAL and CURRENT. They affect the quality of life of untold numbers of non-whites. Is a shame that the US gives the opinions of employment "experts" so much clout that they can decide who works and who does not.

tazzari saidKim Davis is a deluded religious bigot on a campaign of LGBT-genocide.

This thread had SO much promise. Thank you for trying, tazzari.
