So they want me to get check ups with things that can kill me? They want me to get insurance so I can go to the hospetal and come out in worse shape. They say, more than 25% of the people admitted to a hospital will come out with something totally unlelated to their actual illness. I say.....no thanks!

FDA warns about infections from another type of medical scope

Superbug outbreaks at hospitals in Los Angeles, Seattle, Pittsburgh and other cities have sickened dozens of patients treated with duodenoscopes. At UCLA's Ronald Reagan Medical Center, three patients died.

My sister in law went in for back surgery about three weeks ago and now she has a staph infection from the surgery and is back in the hospital. They're not sure she's going to make it. icon_cry.gif

I practice being as preventative as possible. I have a bud who went into the hospital to remove a kidney stone and ended up with one of these "superbug" sepsis infections that very nearly killed him.

You don't get admitted for a checkup. The one time I was admitted it was for a secondary infection. They lanced an an absess and it became infected. 104 fever was scary.

I was out the next day though. I couldn't wait.

Preventive medicine : checkups, medications, physical therapy PREVENT hospitalization.

Yes. Under Obamacare, if you die earlier you won't be a burden to society later on as explained by Obamacare architect Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel.

Very sad. And this is important! Has she been checked for MRSA? Google this and here in Arizona, the State has a horrible track record treating this Superbug.

If you are a in a similar state in the South, they might not know how to check for it. It requires special anti-biotics that are quite toxic but will save a life.

There is no Arizona. Except for about 6 very good people I have met in this state, there is NO ARIZONA - It is a mirage -

Everywhere from Palm Springs and eastward, all the way to South Florida and up to North Carolina. Nothing exists.

They said it's a new kind of staph (not MRSA) but it's a very aggressive strain. She stopped breathing on her own and had to be put on a ventilator. Not sure if she's going to make it.
