Has anyone seen the new Australian gay film Holding the Man?

If you haven't...go watch it. The film was funny and uplifting but at the same time so sad - I actually shed a few tears in the cinema. Luckily I was sitting in the front row, alone, so no one could see hahaha.

The heartbreaking thing about the initial outbreak of HIV/AIDS in the 80's was the amount of lives the disease cut short. However what was comforting was the fact that these 2 characters (and this is based on a true story) loved each other so much....At least they got to experience that love and connection. Some of us will live our lives never finding that.

    Anyway - peace out : )

Here on the other side of the pond and the equator it can take a long time to get movies made in Oz.

Precisely; it was so beautiful they found the love & connection. Some of us have not found that yet; hopefully we will eventually ...
