"The Mormon Church is commemorating the 20th anniversary of its hateful "Proclamation to the World" where it declared war on gay marriage. They lost that battle after a 20 year fight and spending tens of millions of dollars. As a result of all their actions, the Mormon Church has reportedly lost nearly 1 million members over this issue since its Prop 8 debacle in 2008." - Fred Karger

Cf. Islam's own proclamation to the world back around 610 AD. (That's Anno Domini, the Year of our Lord, for the uninformed or PC.) That's when Islam declared war on every other religion around the world. Whether or not it wins or loses that Armageddon remains to be seen.

I'd hardly call a single op-ed piece by a conservative Mormon woman leader a "commemoration" of the 1995 speech by the Mormon Church. The speech can be evaluated on its own terms, but I note that the woman's piece doesn't even mention gay marriage, let alone condemn it with anything near what the headline and OP would have us believe. This is more non-news, dug up and thrown about in order to perpetuate the divisiveness and "hate" against which it purports to inveigh.

"....the Year of our Lord, for the uninformed or PC" What does politically correct have to do with understanding AD?

    Aren't we clever!

    Her commemoration rallies around:

"The family is ordained of God. Marriage between man and woman is essential to His eternal plan."

"Further, we warn that the disintegration of the family will bring upon individuals, communities, and nations the calamities foretold by ancient and modern prophets."

The author waxes poetically ".....his voice awakens additional trust and comfort because layered onto the familial relationship is my God-given witness that he stood at that podium as a prophet."

    his voice.....made me wanna puke.

Let me put it in layman's non-PC terms: FAGS who marry are NOT of God. They will cause the world every shit and calamity that happens from now on.
........as declared by a self claimed prophet.
