Has anyone here tried the GOMAD diet before?. I'm really struggling making gains and everyone says it's a hard and fast way to boost those extra 2400 calories a day but drinking 4L of milk a day sounds ridiculous haha

It sounds like a ploy to me. There are plenty of other foods you could eat that would give you the same nutritional value but with higher quality proteins. Plus, 16 glasses of milk a day (approximately 1 gallon) is a lot of milk.

Now if it were the GONAD diet, I might be interested. icon_wink.gif

I use dry milk - a scoop equal l to a gallon in my protein shake is 8 grams protein. Plus a scoop of good protein powder adds another 30 grams.

Give us a link to that diet? And yeah, GONAD does sound a lot more interesting...

Never heard of GOMAD. In fact, that probably accounted for my initially reading that as "GONAD diet". I'm like what the Hell? icon_confused.gif

But I wonder if drinking that much cow's milk would induce a lactose intolerance reaction, even in people who can drink lesser amounts without a problem. And lactose intolerance can produce diarrhea, cramps, stomach bloating, and other digestive troubles.

Alpha13 saidIt is like the high protein, high zinc MORCUM diet?

Oh gawd, for some bizarre reason that just caused me to imagine a furry Muppets creature demanding in a coarse, gravely voice: "MORCUM!!!"

    I need to take a break. icon_redface.gif

I think there are two animals that drink another animal's milk: snakes and humans. The purpose of cow milk is to fatten up a calf as quickly and as fat as possible.

DOOOO ITTT! An actual gallon might be too much, but get some milk in there if you're struggling with weight. Just make sure you're tracking your macros.
