Looking online for clubs, groups, community things, basicly anything local that is "men only", and not finding much but barbers, tailors, and news arguments against them. How come there are alot of places for women only, but it's sexist to say "men only"? It's bad enough the YMCA isn't the same anymore, maybe I should just move to san francisco or something like that. . . : /

I hate to have to tell you this but "the end of men" began long before you were born.

Have you tried a gay bathhouses? Surely there are no women there.

It's a combination of political correctness and women's lib that's led to that. One of the few things that have remained immune to it is sports. You're probably too young to remember when men didn't wear earrings or paint their nails.

He obviously doesn't. And he obviously hasn't been to a baths/sauna in San Francisco, Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris, London, or most other major European cities - places where men are not sex-phobic.

You gotta remember history: for the last couple of centuries at least, (white) males have dominated, and marginalized everybody else. Payback is a bitch, but we gotta be open and atone by welcoming.

And yeah it is a real pity that the Y of the early to mid twentieth century is gone - with swimming naked &c. Even community showers in current "gyms" are becoming thing of the past. [gym comes from Greek γυμνος and means naked.]

Bath houses still are a male bastion. But maybe one day we'll be able to have a place to pump iron with just other guys and without a shirt, and without erotic undertones, and without breaking laws against discrimination. We are not that free yet.
